We also design and create patios and walkways. In addition, we're irrigation and landscape lighting repair experts. Can't speak highly enough about the experience we had with The Nelson Team. We had major drainage issues that made our yard unusable the majority of the year. Additionally, several heavy rainstorms this year came extremely close to flooding our home. We contacted and met with several local companies and as soon as we met with Josh at The Nelson Team we knew they were a perfect fit. The quality of their work was absolutely outstanding. Even after recent heavy rains our yard is usable and draining perfectly. The whole job team was incredibly professional and made the week long job as seamless as possible. Communication is so important when undertaking such a large project for your home. This is where Josh and The Nelson Team really go the extra mile. Josh was always available if we had any questions and would call daily during the project to give us updates. We really appreciate Josh and The Nelson Team for making our yard usable. Our dogs appreciate it as well! We look forward to the next job we can do with the Nelson Group. Hopefully one that creates an outdoor living/entertaining space. Will be much more enjoyable than a drainage job (for us and them I imagine!).

The Nelson Team, Tim and Michael did an excellent job for us. They installed a very large outdoor fireplace, graded our yard, installed drain tile and a rock-river to channel water and then finished with sod. The project looks great. It made the only rough part of our yard look like an oasis. Thank you so much for your help with this project.

The Nelson Team is Top-Tier! I had been looking for Contractors that could assist me with a small Hardscape project. The Nelson Team Was referred to me by another company, and I’m VERY appreciative of that referral! Tim Strickland was my Project Manager, and his level of Communication and Customer Service is Top Tier! Tim met me on-site to discuss the project. He was very professional and easy to talk to. After our meeting, Tim promptly provided me with a competitive proposal. I was very excited to get this work scheduled! Tim was able to fit us into their busy schedule, and the work was completed successfully in a very timely manner! We LOVE the finished product! The installation crew took great caution to ensure that they didn’t damage our property during the installation. I’m a VERY SATISFIED Customer, and I highly recommend The Nelson Team!

From design through finish, working with The Nelson Team was a great experience! We had bad erosion around our home, water drainage problems, a lacking front yard and a non existent back yard. Not only were the erosion and drainage issues fixed, Tim and team transformed our outside home into a beautiful, low maintenance landscape with new shrubs, turf, lighting, and fire pit area. The work was planned to fit into a date and timeline that was good for our family. The project work was well coordinated, the products used were high quality, and the professionalism and politeness of the work team were awesome!

I have only the highest respect and the greatest opinion of the Nelson Team and especially of Tim Strickland. He has always been very punctual with his commitments and always available to answer any question. Although I didn't hire them, simply because I was in a hurry to complete my outdoor kitchen project, and I didn't want to wait for their availability (which is just another measure of their success), Tim and the Nelson Team were very cooperative in helping me move a very heavy wood fired oven to its location and a very reasonable cost. It speaks volumes of the type of company they are. Working with them has been a great experience. Kudos to the Nelson Team and Tim.

We can't say enough positive things about The Nelson Team, in particular TIm Strickland, who managed this sizable landscaping project, which included a large auto court with stone retaining wall, stone patio with retaining wall, built-in grill, wood deck, fenced back yard, multiple plantings, flagstone walkways and steps, irrigation, lighting, sod and pinestraw installations, and tree removals. Tim was so responsive to texts, emails, and phone calls, was frequently on the job site, respectful of our needs, an incredible designer, and a truly good human being--a complete pleasure to be around. Even after project completion, Tim has been kind to answer questions and fine tune project details. The subcontractors and other team members were all top-notch: capable, respectful, punctual, worked hard and put in many long days. Special kudos to hardscape workers, landscapers, irrigation and lighting specialists, carpenters, and arborists, all of whom satisfied, and exceeded even, our expectations. Special thanks to Michael, Chris, Barry, Bob, Abel & Jesus, and many others!

Bill Nelson and his Team did a complete overhaul of our front, side, and back yards. They worked closely with our landscape architect to execute her vision of the project. Whenever changes needed to be made, all parties collaborated on a solution. Bill’s employees were professional and hardworking and at the end of each day, they made sure that the worksite was in order. Bill was an active participant throughout the project, always insuring that the details were completed. He was particularly careful to be sure that rainwater went where it was supposed to. Also, safety concerns were consistently adhered to. Bill was attentive, consistent, thoughtful, hard working, and fun to interact with. We have already recommended him to several of our friends. We did an extensive overhaul of our backyard with The Nelson Team, and could not be more pleased. Tim's experience and vision for our project made things easy, and the process was smooth and timely. My kids love their new green space to play on, and my husband and I love the fire pit. My personal favorite are the accent lights that set off the landscaping at night and invite us outside.The Nelson Team worked at listening to our desires while keeping in mind our budget. My youngest child developed a true personal relationship with Tim and would jump in his arms each time he came for a site visit to the house. I can’t say enough about the job Josh Wood and everyone at The Nelson Team did for us. They are some of the most professional and dedicated people I’ve worked with. He takes the time to listen and then goes above and beyond to transform your vision into reality. Our project included a waterfall feature, a patio with fire pit, adding steps and a stone landing to our lake pier, and grading our backyard. It is absolutely breathtaking and I could not be more pleased. Josh stayed in touch and kept me informed throughout the project. This was the first of many projects we will be completing in our landscaping and I would not consider letting anyone but The Nelson Team do the work. There were no big surprises and Josh kept things moving forward so that the projects were finished in a very reasonable time.

The Nelson team did a great job. We had an old retaining wall that was falling down (several feet high and supporting much of the backyard) and had to be replaced. The area was unusable before. They designed a terraced wall with engineered stone and boulders that looks so much better than before and will allow us to use the space, which was a large part of our backyard. They were not rushed in the planning phase, taking time to meet with us multiple times to nail down all the details at time convenient to us to discuss design, material choice, etc. We were impressed with how they really wanted to get all the details right on the front end. The job was completed on time, on budget, and looks great. There were some issues identified with our irrigation system that was existing, and was modified during our project that they immediately acted on and repaired. They even identified some other areas of the irrigation system that weren't directly impacted by the new wall but did affect performance of the irrigation that was in the new wall area, and fixed those too. They were very responsive to all concerns. Very professional throughout. We were very pleased. We would definitely hire again.

We used The Nelson team to renovate our backyard. Josh had a vision and was we loved his enthusiasm for the project. The team took out huge tree stumps, graded the yard, built a beautiful boulder retaining wall, stone steps up and down from the center section, and a putting green, then sod over the rest of the yard. They also added lights both on the ground and in trees. We couldn't be happier with the results. Our family is outside now all the time. The Nelson team did quick work and we very responsive . It was a great experience! Recommended them to friends and family.
