I’ve worked on a few projects with Jon and all have turned out even better than expected. He worked with us to design custom cabinets for our mid-century ranch home, as well as a custom-design and fabrication of a modern room divider/entry bench (pictured). Jon made helpful recommendations based on our preferences. Jon was able to install the cabinets and complete the installation on schedule. The cabinets were not only beautiful but incredibly well built.

Jonathan built me a bathroom cabinet that is so beautiful I can't stop looking at it. Moreover, he built it to our exact specifications, which is something the custom cabinet store I visited was unwilling to do. Not only that, he beat the price I was quoted by that commercial store by a mile. But wait, there's more! The store I went to told me it was impossible to put glass shelves in any cabinet they made for me. Jonathan was happy to put in glass shelves and they are gorgeous. Working with Jonathan was so easy. We communicated via text and email. He sent me drawings and was very accommodating and patient as we changed the specifications a few times. He even offered advice that allowed us to make a better decision about what we wanted for the cabinet's look and sizing. He delivered the project in the time he said he would. Don't hesitate to reach out if you're thinking about custom cabinets. You'll get a better price and product than you would from a retail store. I'm excited to work with him in the future!

Jon has worked with us on a number of projects including kitchen cabinets, a bathroom vanity, shelves, wardrobes, and closet systems. He is great to work with, and his products are the perfect combination of beautiful and functional. I have found his pricing to be reasonable and sometimes cheaper than lower-quality products. As a one-man business, his timelines can be longer than larger companies, but he has always delivered as promised and never held up other elements of the larger project. I recommend him highly for any cabinetry/furniture projects.

Jon was incredibly thoughtful and methodical, taking plenty of time to understand our needs for the space and then incorporating them into a detailed 3D drawing. His eye for function is amazing and his craftsmanship is unparalleled. Whenever friends or family come into our home, they immediately comment on the beauty of the cabinetry, the wood's matched grain across cabinets, and the beautiful finish. I love the kitchen cabinets because they are incredibly durable and resistant to wear and tear seen so often on stock and even semi-custom cabinetry. Highly recommend!

We hired Jon to make a custom-sized dresser for our master bedroom. In no uncertain terms, the dresser is absolutely gorgeous. It exceeded our expectations and is one of the most beautiful pieces of furniture we own. Jon worked with us to measure just the right size for the space to maximize storage. He also matched the legs of the dresser to a mid-century style smaller dresser we had in the room. He was communicative throughout the whole process, gave us an excellent sketch-up of the piece, and delivered it to our home. We could not have been happier with the entire experience - he is the BEST!

He built me a custom hanging daybed size swing. He inquired what my vision was and worked with me every step of the way to ensure he was able to create exactly what I wanted. He is an excellent craftsman with fine attention to detail. The wood is beautiful, the finish is built to last in varied weather conditions, and he made sure the swing’s support structure is extra sturdy. It has been through one winter so far and looks untouched by the weather. I receive numerous compliments on the swing. I would highly recommend J Moncton!

Jon built a truly beautiful built-in bookshelf for our house. It is a solid, wonderful piece that will last decades. His design skills are spot-on, and the wood options he offers provide options beyond just oak and maple. He incorporated less-expensive options on the non-visible portions of the shelf, to keep the costs down. To allow access to electrical panels (required for code) and air vents (required for ventilation), he created magnetic panels with elegant handles. If I need anything else built, he's the first person I'll call.
