The most solid built house we've ever owned without hiring a custom builder. Mercedes homes are greatly built at a competitive price. We're so happy in our home!

If I could post a zero star rating, I certainly would. Vintage Estate Homes is a garbage builder. I am a disabled veteran who used my VA home loan and contracted with VEH. Biggest mistake of my life!!! ALL exterior doors are not sealed, I have fallen because of the huge holes in the sod outside, the walkway is cracked, the driveway is cracked. I have killed 2 venomous spiders thus far because non of the exterior doors are sealed. Paint overspray everywhere. Paint already peeling and chipping inside and out, keep in mind, we have not been here 2 weeks as yet! Electrical outlets and light switches upside down, missing drawer hardware(tracks), doorways that have huge spaces in only 1 corner, zero caulking on granite in kitchen. Garage door that greatly moves when you open the interior door with lots of spaces, an air conditioning system that wakes or startles you every time it comes on, etc..., etc... I could keep going. I emailed pictures and list of things wrong with zero response. This home looks like someone refurbished a rental property and slapped a bad coat of paint on it. Shameful to do this to a disabled veteran. I am appealing to every veteran NOT to do business with Vintage Estate Homes!!!

We built a home through Vintage Estates/Mercedes Premier Home Builders and closed on December 16, 2019. The house failed inspection 3 times. We were unable to move in for a month after the closing due to construction issues . Vintage has not honored the home warranty provided at closing. They use subcontractors - Classic Floors Ferazzano and J & M Drywall that do poor quality work with no supervision or quality control. Our problems have been many-a garage door installed 2.5 ft below the top of the door and window, malfunctioning sliding glass doors, crooked hardware on every door, drywall issues we had to hire and pay another contractor to repair, uneven wood floor that had to be replaced, damaged boards still need to be replaced.Unfinished concrete in both garages, poorly installed carpet, thresholds that do not line up to the door. Doors that don't close properly including the front door, significant settling in driveway, broken tile, tile without grout, paint overspray.

KEPT MY $5000 DEP...Working with the sub-company VINTAGE ESTATE HOMES, in Woods of Lake Helen. I was working with a real-estate agent, Maureen. We were still in the design phase, had not submitted to the town for approval, when we found out we were unable to have the driveway on one street and the house facing another. Maureen was adamant the driveway would not be an issue. I requested it in writing. When we got the disappointing news that the driveway in fact will be an issue, we discovered, on LOT 77 the sidewalk would be in the middle of our front yard, due a central drainage system for the town. Maureen and Tim Durkin acted as if they didn't know about the sidewalk, even sent an email to the town asking for it to be moved, just one of the many NO's we received. At this point we wanted to cancel our plans to build with VEH. They took my $5000.00 deposit and will not refund, nor reply why they are keeping it. Emails have gone unanswered!!

BUYER BEWARE! They will push you to sign a contract and put down an extremely large deposit (~$17k), pressure you not to use your own real estate agent, and then will not work with you (even when a representative says they will work with you). We put down a deposit in June, at which time we were not told the deposit would not be refundable and our contract does not list the deposit as non-refundable. We were told at this time the house being built would take about 8 months for completion, giving us until February to sell our current home. We put our house on the market in August and lowered the price in November. We asked several times for updates and progress on the date the home would be ready and they continued to tell us they had no updates. In December, they told us we would need to close at the end of December. We were unable to sell our house and our mortgage contract was contingent on us selling our house. Because we could not obtain a mortgage at this point, our real estate agent for our house being sold spoke to Vintage Estate Homes who told us that they would work with us on getting some of the deposit back. They now will not respond to emails and the office is unwilling to call me. DO NOT BUY A HOUSE WITH THEM!

Nothing but problems with this homebuilder. The grout is crumbling, walls horribly uneven, chipped and broken tiles were installed, paint splatter everywhere ... their laborers even painted over dirt ... improperly installed doors, they also use the cheapest grade materials, even though I had 20K worth of upgrades. Now their warranty representative is no longer with the company, and there is no replacement for her. As my warranty ticks down, my calls and emails go unanswered. My one satisfaction was the way in which my home came through Hurricane Irma. The bones seem good, (although the bolts for the hurricane shutters were improperly installed), however the finishing work is abysmal. This is my fourth home purchase, third new build. Think twice about buying a home from Vintage Estate / Mercedes Premiere Homes.

This would have been our third property from this developer but I strongly suggest to stay away.
We were promised a lot size of 13,401 as the lot has a strange shape however we have since learnt that lot will be actually much smaller closer to 10,000 sq feet as to the back on two sides there is a deep and high drop off which means land is not useable.Efforts to find out from the developer if this area will be graded or filled has been futile. This is extremely important due to the risk to my handicap granddaughter. This is not all,the builder never conducted a "New Construction Orientation" on lot site to discuss the lay out ,they just began building to face the Neighbour 's side yard.I brought it to the attention indicating our dissatisfaction. They say it was changed yet still no "New Construction Orientation "on lot site so who knows.
According to the contract the company has breached the contract 13-f by not conducting the " New Construction Orientation" and yet is refusing to refund our deposits.Their argument is they are building a house to our specification but the plan is a generic plan and we have not been involved in the actual building on the lot.The one meeting we had with builder was at another Vintage Development miles away.

Vintage Estate Homes built my home in Ormond Beach which I moved into in January of 20I7. I am pleased with both the quality and design of my new home. I found the sales staff and everyone connected with vintage estate homes to be very helpful and informative during the purchasing process and after closing. I would highly recommend looking into the homes offered by Vintage Estate Homes.

This will be my third home from these builders.I am greatly impress with my sales personal Brian Simpkins as I can be demanding and ask a lot by way of service and support. With technology Brian gets a lot of queries and he responds promptly with the facts to enable a learnt decision.I wish all the sales personnel were so friendly and accompanying, regrettable this is not the case.Today I had to visit another development to see a model of my home to be built and if I had to base my decision on this person and her assisting me I would not be doing business.

This is a totally unsolicited review. My wife and I contracted with Vintage Estate Homes for them to construct our home outside of Orlando. I can HONESTLY say that I didn't have a single problem that they didn't address quickly and effectively . Tim Durkin and Jason Witschey are FANTASTIC gentlemen and we couldn't be happier with the finished product of our home.
If you are looking for a QUALITY home at a reasonable price from some truly fantastic people, contact Vintage Estate Homes....ask to talk to Tim Durkin or Jason, YOU WON'T BE SORRY, I PROMISE YOU.
Sincerely
James Festa

We were very pleased with our salesperson, Diana Sivadon. She was very friendly and charming. All of our questions were answered completely and the purchase went off without a hitch.

I would not recommend this builder to any dear friends. Currently building a 700k home and it's been a struggle from day one. Quality is extremely questionable and project manager has poor communication with clients... It's a shame since we really love the design. We are very worried about our investment.
