For over 40 years, David Bennett (AIBD, CPBD) and Triangle Residential Designs have continued to provide: unique and affordable custom home designs, addition/renovation/remodel design, space planning, architectural promotion materials, a stock plan library and engineering services. TRD has won numerous local and national accolades, including 8 MAME Awards and over 100 Parade of Homes awards (Perfect Score, Gold, Silver, Bronze).

David was wonderful to work with. He had great insight and was very patient as we made multiple changes. Highly recommend David !

We worked with David to design our remodel of our 2nd floor on our primary residence. He made it very easy for us to take this on, not really knowing what we needed to do since we had never done this before. David came on site and did what he needed, and generated the plans that we were looking for. After several revisions over a long period of time (due to us making changes) we have our plans for construction and are very excited to see the outcome. Along the way David was extremely professional and courteous and I consistently felt like a valued customer even though I know our job was on the smaller side. I will definitely contact David again if we ever need more design work, and I have already recommended him to others!

This is a followup to my last review. My wife and I had some unexpected life issues that caused us to need our original plans revised. Dave was on top of it, had the revisions done, and out to engineering within days. We will continue to use and recommend TRD for any architectural needs. Always a pleasure to work with him.

Dave and TRD have been immensely valuable as my wife and I grow our family. He designed our original house and has now done our addition. He listened to our needs, took our feedback, and came up with something that fits into what we were looking for in a 2-story renovation. He is a pleasure to work with, always welcoming, and we will recommend him to any of our friends needing work done.

We were planning for an addition, but I needed to know how to tie in a basement foundation to a non basement foundation. Also the roof tie in was going to be an issue. David did a great job with the plans. We were impressed with his solutions. Do to outside issues we didnt proceed (cost to benefit). I highly recommend David for your needs.

I enjoyed working with Dave. I had a solid idea of what I wanted for a hillside walkout plan. Dave took my idea from concept to reality. He has a very high attention to detail and infinite patience with change orders. I highly recommend Dave and Triangle Residential Designs.

I can’t say enough good things about Dave. He responded to my first inquiry quickly, and that was the case throughout our project. After several follow-up emails, when we had a meeting to nail down a definite direction, Dave was warm and welcoming, and it was obvious that he’s a professional who knows (and enjoys) what he’s doing. That proved to be the case as he worked on the many, many ideas/revisions (and reversals of the revisions!) we threw his way. What I also appreciate so much about Dave’s work ethic is that he stayed conscious of our cost. When our sq footage started to snowball, he reminded us to keep an eye on the drawing/construction cost increases those additions would entail. We ultimately decided to stick with the larger spaces, but having an architect with a no-surprises approach is so helpful. It’s easy to get off track! Dave put our dreams on paper, and are so glad we chose him as our guy! He’s professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. You should definitely go with Dave!

Love, love, love Dave’s creative designs! We have completed three projects with him! He’s a great listener and is great in making suggestions and bringing the plans together!!! So easy to work with! Highly recommend his services.

Excellent to work with! We highly recommend David! We had a bad experience with a previous designer who left us with an ugly home and 9 months of stress. David listened to our needs and had creative vision which made this a stress free process. We have a small lot and many stringent HOA requirements that David met with ease and provided us with a beautiful home in a timely fashion.

Dave has helped me as a new general contractor customize my house plans to the needs of my budget and lot requirements. He is familiar with a vast amount of building techniques and can show several iterations of plans to quickly refine and optimize the space you need to build that perfect space. You can take a look at the pictures of how I was able to collaborate with Dave to help me with my first build.
