Thrasher Pool and Spa

The pool heater was scratched during the September 2017 category 5 hurricanes that swept through the US Virginia Islands. The pool heater, which is installed outside, works perfectly despite the scratch. Like most pool equipment which is installed outside in the open, the pool heater will sustain many more scratches from trees and animals on the island but continue to function properly. We have asked the home owner multiple times to mark the tiles which he believes are "cracked," however he has never marked the tiles for our inspection. Due to the manufacturing process of custom glass tile, the tile may sometimes look irregular, bubbly and notched, however that is normal. Removing a perfect but irregular tile from a row of installed tile is not recommended because it breaks the seal in the tile row and can cause leaks at a later time. Please see the attached picture of the installation of the BLUE pool surface. After the pool was resurface the home generator unfortunately broke and the pool's pump did not run for over a week and the pool's chemicals were not balanced. For the first 4 weeks after a pool has been resurfaced the pool's pump should run 24 hours a day and the chemicals need to be balanced on an almost daily basis. Unfortunately, this pool was not properly maintained for the first week. Luckily the pool still looks good and blue despite the pool care it received on the week after our renovation was complete.
