Dave’s ( the owner) knowledge and expertise allowed Terrafirma to professionally install landscape lighting and some landscape trees. The job was done on time, efficiently and without any troubles. I had a great experience with TerraFirma. John and Donny and their crew did a great job designing and installing stone stairs and a patio at my home. The work was done on time and on budget. The new stairs and patio have totally transformed that part of my property. They even went out of their way to repair a couple spots in my yard that had been damaged by other contractors. I highly recommend TerraFirma!

We had a very big project, including tree removal, removal of large pavers, building of a retaining wall, stairs from the house to the lake front, and landscaping. We hired Terrafirma and we are so glad we did. They completed the work quickly, professionally, within the budget (despite a few surprises), and within the expected time frame. They met with us several times throughout the project to answer questions and provide updates. They suggested adding lighting, which we added near the stairs. The lights look awesome at night, especially from the lake! Our project is a work of art! Boats that are cruising by stop at our house to give compliments on the landscape. John and the Terrafirma team re-landscaped our house in the summer of 2023. They delivered on time and on budget, were transparent throughout the process and most importantly, did high-quality work that we're delighted with. It spoke volumes that once the project was complete, the team stopped by multiple times to see how everything was growing in. NEW PATIO.....Out with the old and in with the new, patio that is. What a great job by Terrafirma and more specifically the project supervisor John McBride. From our initial meeting to discuss the project, to completion of the job, John kept us informed of all the steps involved, work schedules, rain delays, options involved and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. Communication of any kind was always completed very quickly. The on-site workers were very thorough with their work and very professional. They always left our property in a clean and neat manner at the end of each day. John always took time to explain any options we might have, when there were decisions to make, giving us pros and cons to help us decide what styles, colors, designs involved with our project. You always take into consideration the history and reputation of a company, when you are seeking someone to do your project, but it was our initial meeting with John that made us feel very comfortable in selecting Terrafirma. The project involved removal of an old in-ground pool and re-design of the back yard. Once the design was complete, the project was assigned to Bill Lytle, who was instrumental in getting everything done on time and within budget. Bill was wonderful to work with through the whole project. He managed all the crews, who were also great people who did beautiful high-quality work. I would definitely work with Terrafirma again because of the professional project management and the expert work done by the work crews. We were completely happy with the end result.

Most people do not stay in their homes for 19 years to see the results of the landscape planning and installation from Terrafirma. I had landscaping and sprinkler installation 19 years ago and you will see now from the attachments that a tree that they planted is far too large to be close to my home. I called Dave Silverman, the president, on June 5th to see if they would be willing to stand behind their work and remove it. He said he would swing by my house and take a look. I didn’t hear anything. I called again and they said they needed receipts etc… I found them all and sent them. I called again on June 22nd and was made to feel that this was my fault for not realizing that they were planting too close to my house and that I would have a problem 19 years later. I am neither a landscape architect nor a horticulturalist that is why I hired them and paid good money for what I thought was a reputable company. On one of the faxes I see where I am questioning the height (that is attached to this review too) and remember I was told that they know what they are doing and would make sure that all trees, shrubs/landscaping is appropriate. Yes, that is what I thought I paid for? Dave did come out to my house and what he thinks is fair is that I pay $450. their cost to have it removed. He said I should have known in a year or two that they planted too close to my house. My fault for not doing the research that they were suppose to have done. The two stars are for the parts of my landscape that were done correctly and their receptionist Rebecca.

Terrafirma did some foundation crack sealing for us in June of 2015, using the “Polyurethane Resin Injection Method”, to the tune of $1,350.00. Our walls are white, but they used a dark grey resin, not even trying to match the walls. We are getting ready to put our house on the market right now, and a contractor doing some other work in the house took a look at it for me, because I was wondering if I could do something to make it look neater. They could not believe that Terrafirma used this material on our walls, and only 2 years ago, plus our contractor says it is very sloppy work.

Terrafirma is an amazing company to work with. Ryan Dinius understood my vision and worked with my budget to give us exactly what we wanted. They were able to work around a broken sump pipe with ease - something that made us grateful we didn't attempt this patio ourselves. I highly recommend them.
