Custom Home Building & Remodeling. Ellis Construction Co., Inc. is a small company specializing in individual attention and quality craftsmanship. Having built homes throughout the Hilton Head Island and Bluffton areas, evidence of our work can be found in most of the major plantations. By developing strong, professional relationships with every fact of the building industry in the Low Country we know and use only the most reputable and highly skilled subcontractors in our area. Building a new home is no easy task. Ellis Construction looks at each home individually and guides each client through the building process, so that building your new home is as pleasurable for you as it is for us! We truly enjoy the challenge of building custom homes, plain and simple! Rather than appeal to the masses, Marc and Tara (the whole team) prefer to custom build homes on an individual basis therefore we market ourselves the same way. If you are considering building a new home and need fresh ideas, sound advice, experience and quality work, we believe we are the builder you have been looking for.

My wife and I were very pleased with the work you and your subcontractors did in remodeling our recently-acquired townhouse. This project included converting a photographic dark room into a bedroom, removing part of a wall in the breakfast nook area, adding 3 windows in the front guest bedroom and 2 more in the former dark room, replacing electrical fixtures and adding new ones, refinishing the garage floor and adding flood vents, and completely repainting the interior. While all your subcontractors were courteous, efficient, and helpful, we thought the carpenters and electricians were particularly outstanding. We also very much appreciated the advice you provided on a number of matters which proved very helpful to us, as well as your prompt responses to our requests as well as questions. It was a pleasure to work with you.

We had a complete home renovation and hired Ellis Construction Co. Marc Ellis is not only a hard worker himself but has a great team to support his projects. They were all very attentive, professional and creative. Marc has a great reputation and many quality relationships in the industry which helped immensely when choosing appliances, flooring, etc. Our home is absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be happier! t would recommend Marc and his team at the highest level.

Ellis Construction Co. President, Marc Ellis was extremely professional, very comfortable to work with and quietly respectful of our thoughts which helped us sort through and finalize our desires to accomplish our goals. Marc updated our 30 year-old home to a more current facade, which has resulted in extraordinarily positive and excited comments! Marc's contractors were extremely professional craftsman who also respected our privacy while accomplishing their specific goals and never departed each day without, as best as possible, restoring their space to a neat and clean environment. An incredible transformation by an equally incredible team - and that's their secret. It is not a construction company with contractors it's a team of professionals working together to bring a smile to your face and pride in your heart!

Ellis Construction did a old beach house remodel for us. Quality of the work was terrific - held up to 8 years of heavy use - four children and their friends and never a crack or problem. Ellis also came in on budget except for the changes we ourselves made - and even then they showed us ways to keep our costs down yet achieve the look we wanted. The only thing holding back 5 stars is the work took longer than planned. In part this was due to the unforeseen issues that always come from a remodel. But part this also came from Ellis being very methodical and set in how things get done. From a quality standpoint being set on how things get done is good because it results in predictably good quality. From a timetable standpoint - we believe it caused delays.

From small projects to major renovations we have always been happy with the personal and professional experience we have with Marc and Tara. I've always heard that building a new house was a nightmare, let alone doing it remotely. That said, we had a great experience with both Ellis Construction and are delighted with our new home. Marc Ellis is an extremely talented, honest and experienced builder who takes tremendous pride in his/his team's work. The construction quality is outstanding, and Marc's signature -- the trim/woodwork/ceilings -- is exceptional. The pricing/costing approach was clear at the beginning, and remained consistent throughout. Tara Cooler is Marc indispensable right hand, handling alot of the project management & communications as well as working w/ us on all our selections. She has terrific vendor relationships and personally took us around to each, making it fun as well as keeping us in line w/ our allowance budgets. Overall, we're absolutely delighted w/ our new home!

Ellis Construction Co has made our renovation project an easy and satisfying experience. In our complete renovation of our home, including new kitchen, bathrooms, raising ceilings, etc., Ellis Construction Co. has been thorough and meticulous in every aspect of the project. They have had great suggestions and ideas while allowing us to choose exactly what we wanted making it a truly custom experience.
