Do not do business with this company. Been waiting since July of 2020 to have my drain fixed that was broken upon install as well as grout fixed in our pool tile and a pool light that does not work. They Don’t return calls or emails. Very poor business model and definitely do not stand behind their work.
They blame their vendors for taking over 7 months to make a repair, but the vendors they select to install items for their business is certainly a direct reflection of their business. They obviously hire companies that’s the cheapest and not the best quality.
Just a 6 month update. Our pool
Light is still not fixed, our floor drain is still not fixed, and the grout in our pool edging is still not fixed. All these issues were reported a year ago with constant follow ups and still no resolution. We will be hiring an attorney, getting the items fixed by a different company, and suing Tampa Bay Pools for reimbursement. All of our communication has been documented or recorded. It shouldn’t take over a year to get these things fixed, there are no excuses!!

We recently built a new home. During our home building process we picked Tampa Bay Pools to build our pool and we are SO happy we did. The process was seamless and fun! Each member of the team was kind and professional. Amanda was amazing at assisting us with picking out the materials and water features. She proved herself to be trust worthy and sincere as she was in constant communication with me and ensured that our pool was completed exactly the way we envisioned and completed on time. She worked diligently to make the experience an enjoyable one. Thank you so much Tampa Bay Pools and special thanks to Amanda. Our little girl enjoys her pool every day!!

We could not be happier with the pool that Tampa Bay Pools designed and built for us. Not only did they build us an over the top, dream pool, they did it with amazing quality and in record time. I would not even consider working with another pool builder in the future, these guys and gals are the best.

I was so disappointed to hear that my buyers pool experience was nothing but delays and empty promises. They damaged the fence gate and left it off and did not return to fix it for over two weeks. They are still waiting on Tampa Bay pools to come and finish installation of some of the equipment. They had to wait over two weeks for Tampa Bay pools to schedule and give them a demo on how to use the pool equipment.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.
Tampa Bay Pools was extremely unprofessional and consistently showed a disregard for any semblance of customer service throughout our five-month process with them. We kicked off the pool process in early September due Matthew Lent's promise of quality, service, and speed of the process. When we signed up, Matthew told us the pool would be finished by New Years at the very latest, and likely would be completed several weeks before that.
When we hit the Thanksgiving holidays, we still had no hole dug in our yard, and a few days before Thanksgiving Amy from the office reached out to tell us that we were scheduled to have our pool dug that week. Because we had family in town, we asked if they could start digging the following week, but ONLY if the process wouldn't be delayed further than the following week. Amy assured us that the process would start the very next week, or the week after that at the latest. It then took Tampa Bay Pools three weeks to get us back on the schedule, when we were promised a two week delay at the most. When we called to complain about the delay, NOT ONCE did anyone apologize for not being able to honor the company's commitment, and we were basically told that it was out of their control.
After the process got back underway, when the deck footers were set it was clear that they were not in the same position as indicated in the 3D rendering provided when we first signed up. When we informed the company that these needed to be changed, our contractor Raymond said that they were in the same place they were supposed to be according to the blueprints. When I showed him the renderings, he suggested I reach out to Matthew Lent, who created the drawings. Matthew's renderings failed to show part of an adjacent deck correctly, so there was no way for us to tell that his measurements were incorrect because his rendering was incorrect.
Matthew tried to tell us that it was our fault and that we should have measured the pool ourselves to double check, which is absurd and exactly what we are paying Tampa Bay Pools to do so that we don't' have to build our own pool. Matthew refused to eat any of the cost associated with the additional decking, and finally Raymond did a good job of involving the owners of the company, who finally agreed that the issue was the company's fault and that they would pay for it. However, this entire ordeal caused another three-week delay on the process. At one point, I left a one-star review due to my frustration, and Raymond offered to do their best to finish the pool by the end of January in exchange for me removing the review, which was 4 weeks after our initial deadline. Needless to say, the company did not even come close to hitting this new target.
When the pool finally was finished, the company left significant amounts of trash (including food wrappers and beverage cans) scattered throughout our property. To add one final screw-up to a miserable process, one of the last crews took our gate off its hinges and left without putting it back on. When we called to ask that they come put the gate back on, we were told that no more crews were scheduled to come to our house so they wouldn't fix the gate that they dismantled.
Finally, when it came time to set up the "pool school" appointment to walk through how to operate the equipment and take care of the pool, we were told an appointment wasn't available for two weeks, which is unfathomable considering the company should know how far along our construction process was and should have been able to plan well in advance to ensure we received an appointment in a timely manner.
Aside from the specifics above, the company communicated poorly throughout and it often took several unanswered phone calls to get any information from anyone. The pool itself appears well built, but we'll see how it holds up over time.

I would highly recommend Tampa Bay pools. We have worked together on many model home projects for national home builders. They are creative and build a great pool.

We cannot be happier with Tampa Bay Pools. When we started the process, we interviewed various pool companies, and although we read some old, negative reviews, we went with Tampa Bay Pools because of their professional presentation, and the pool designer, Julie Lee, who prepared 3 computerized versions of our pool for us to look at. We made our choices, including tiles, deck, etcetera, and the process began. It could not have been any smoother. The most trying part was securing our HOA permits, and that had absolutely nothing to do with the pool company. Seth, our project manager, was on top of the entire process, and Amy and Deborah at the office kept us posted on major upcoming events. They completed our pool in 8 weeks, and took care of everyone of our concerns, and believe us, we are picky perfectionists. Some things to keep in mind when undertaking a pool construction: (1) The pool company cannot control the weather. We were lucky and hit a dry spell. (2) This is major construction, and somethings will go wrong. For example, when they brought in the digging machines, they accidentally ripped up the corner of our soffit. They promptly fixed it, and used all new parts. It looks great. (3) They will tear up your yard. It is naïve to believe that heavy equipment, and workers walking back and forth across your property will not damage the lawn. It will, but they tell you this up front, and it should be expected. All in all, we are very happy with our beautiful pool, the quality of the workmanship, and the service we received from Tampa Bay Pools.

This has been a miserable experience from the minute we signed the contract. They delayed the start by not being able to provide an itemized list of work to be completed for our bank (have to admit they did finally comply after several conference calls and month later). We've been insulted by the superintendent, who claims we are needy because we asked questions about the process and quality of work. Before deciding to go with Tampa Bay Pools we spoke with all of our neighbors and watched several pools be built by other contractors within our development. We've never witnessed as much garbage being left on anyone’s property as Tampa Bay Pools has strewn across our entire back and front yard. When asked the superintendent stated leave it there. Its a construction site the HOA can't do anything about it. This was a complete disregard for our preference or concern for keeping our lawn and property looking respectful. We signed a contract with them for 4 draws, we signed a loan with our bank for 4 draws at the request of Tampa Bay Pools and Tampa Bay Pools is now requesting to be paid 5 - 6 times which the inspections have to be paid for. Each time they have requested a draw we have had to spend weeks pointing out sub-par work done by sub contractors who are unsupervised. Even still we complied with their requests and now they have still not finished and they are out of draws/inspections. So we've attempted to discuss this with the owners and managers to no avail. They will not return our emails, texts or any other forms of communication. Unfortunately we are now held hostage with an unfinished pool with a yard full of garbage. If you are considering a pool contractor please make sure they have an adequate number of employees to service how many jobs they have, they have no liquidity issues, check all ratings and reviews and if nothing else make sure clean up, draws and inspections is spelled out in the contract who is paying for any extra and ensure they have some kind of communication plan because Tampa Bay Pools couldn’t pass any of these prerequisites. Customer service is non-existent, communication is lacking, absolutely no quality control and you have to spend more time supervising the superintendents than enjoying the process and what should become your backyard paradise.

They have done a great job with our pool - Stayed on timeline and produced high quality work. I really liked the fact that they stayed in touch every step of the way. Overall we are very satisfied with the design and quality.

This was a complete pool remodel, and the owner, Steve, followed through with all that we wanted to do. We chose water/fire and fountain features, new heater, pump, filter, tile, and pavers. Despite some set-backs (only one sub-contractor who did not complete pavers), Steve came through and finished the job himself. Never once did this company ignore requests or phone calls when we had questions or changes we decided on. Completion time...excellent. We were so thrilled with the end result, I made a book of the whole process for them and one for myself. It's nice to work with an honest and hard working company.

My husband and I chose Tampa Bay Pools for our new pool project based on consumer reviews, wide variety of options and reputation of the company. They have been a part of the local community for over ten years and they are family owned, which was very important to me with so many small businesses struggling in this economy. The sales process is very straight forward and we did not have any "surprises" after construction started. The office staff was very friendly, professional and helpful, as I am a consumer that always seems to have a lot of questions and they didn't seem to mind. My superintendent was professional, informative and made sure the subcontractors did the same on the job site. I never really had to worry about craftsmen leaving their personal trash or being unprofessional in anyway. As far as timeline, it took a couple of weeks to get the permit, they started the project two weeks after and the pool was done in seven weeks. So, total it took about three months from signing the contract to pool completion. We have had no issues with the pool since installation, which was six months ago. We couldn't be happier with the finished product and would recommend this company to our family and friends! Thank you again Tampa Bay Pools! The Taylors
