We’ve had a great experience so far. We love the layout and elevation of the house. Steve and Shannon were able to incorporate our wishes for the house and were receptive to our feedback without much delay. I toured several of Steve’s designs before we chose them, and he really has a way to efficiently and stylishly design a floor plan. Shannon has been so helpful in giving me ideas and also keeping me grounded despite some of my hair brained ideas. We really can’t wait for the final product!

We have used Steve for two houses. The first one he designed was in 2011/2012, and it was beautiful. Everything about the designed happened like clockwork, and he was fun to work with. In 2020, my wife and I decided to build one more for our retirement years. We had a lot on a lake, and called Steve to see if he would design it. Since the first house in 2012, he had joined with a partner to do a lot of the finishing design work. Steve did his usual magic, and then Shannon took over. She was invaluable helping with lighting, plumbing fixtures, colors, tile design, countertops, cabinet design, and more. She was a life saver. I can't say enough about how smooth this has gone with the two of them helping us through the whole process. Truly a dynamic duo.

They did a wonderful job from designing the remodel of my place to helping me pick out appliances, lighting, plumbing fixtures, countertops, and tile. They often had ideas of what the remodel materials (such as fixtures and tile) should look like so very little time was spent by me in stores. The remodel drawings were done very quickly and when changes needed to be made those designs were quickly done too. I have loved this process every step of the way. My place should be completed about the end of September. Thank you for all your help.

Steve Shannon Design has been an integral part of making my dream house come true. For years I had so many ideas in my head for a custom home, not to mention hundreds of Houzz ideabooks and pictures saved. Steve took all those thoughts and ideas to create an architectural plan for the home to include a layout that is beautiful, and yet fully functional for my family that includes 2 small children and a dog (with lots of room and suggestions for when my children aren't so small anymore). Shannon held my hand through each and every design choice, from windows to cabinet pulls to master closet layout. We hired Steve and Shannon to design our custom home from start to finish and it was one of the best decisions we made. They both worked very well as a professional team with excellent communication. Steve did a great job of maximizing our space and making it feel like one of a kind. Shannon was always available to travel to various vendors around the city to get the look that would fit our style. She did a great job of accomplishing how we wanted the spaces to look by learning our preferences, but also helping us to consider options we would not have thought of on our own to fit within that style. She used her expertise to guide us in our decisions, without pressure, and all the while remaining within budget! Both Steve and Shannon also communicated very well with our builder when needed. Steve made multiple trips to the home during construction to offer advice on how to achieve the vision he created and answer any questions. Shannon met on site several times to do the same and continuously worked with our builder to aid the process through completion. I hired Steve and Shannon to design and help build a new house and I couldn't be happier with their professionalism and attention to detail. Both are very friendly and easy to work with. Steve was both flexible and creative. Shannon made herself available to go all over town to find all the interior items like cabinets/appliances/lighting/tile/carpet/etc so we could get the best selection and price. She worked with our builder to keep the project moving and was also able to keep us within the budget provided by the plans. I would hire them again without reservations and recommend them if you are building/remodeling a house.

Steve did a great job with the home layout/design. Very engaged and timely in his efforts. Still working on Interior Design with Shannon, which is moving slower than expected, so cannot provide any adequate feedback at this time.
