From start to finish, the team at Spruce did a fantastic job on my 2 piece 20 year-old sectional sofa. I did quite a bit of research to find an upholstery service that I could trust, but once it was in their hands, like that proverbial box of chocolates—you never know what you’re gonna get. I was very, very happy with the outcome (more about that later). First was deciding on fabric, and they have a seemingly endless selection in a broad range of prices. The team helped me narrow the choices (I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, but it can still be overwhelming). Then once the project was underway, they made suggestions to improve on the original upholstery technique, one of which would allow back cushions to be reversible if needed. They also kept me informed through the entire process and offered videos along with explanation to help clarify any issues. Clint and Katherine were such a pleasure to work with! As for the (re)finished product -it was extremely well executed, down to the last stitch. I wasn’t sure if it would be worth it to reupholster versus replace, but I loved the modern, timeless style of the sofa and did the math. At today’s dollar, I would have paid 3x what it cost to reupholster to buy new, and I now have a beautiful better-than-new piece with lots of history! Thank you, Spruce!!

Hey Austinites! Have used Spruce to recover chairs, make dog bed cushions, build and upholster custom headboards, construct an ottoman, and make throw pillows. Excellent outcome every time. And Spruce now has a light and bright new space where it is easy to shop fabric samples. Highly recommend, will return again and again.

Amanda and her team are always honest, respectful, and challenging me to extend my decorating decisions. I value their opinions and ability to work within any budget.
