Shanco recently completed a full gutter system replacement on our home. The project went extremely well. All the office staff, The sales rep and the crew were extremely professional, responsive and stayed in touch until we felt that the job has been completed to both our and their standards. We were very lucky to find such a wonderful company to replace our gutters. I will not hesitate to reach out to them if I ever need their services again.

Overall, we were happy with the project manager(s) that we worked with but the actual crew that came out to install the siding did not seem to know what they were doing. There were several details that I mentioned specifically when the manager came out for the estimate (a rotten board I wanted replaced, etc) which he said they would do. However, those details never made it to the actual installers. I spent the afternoon watching them and catching mistakes. In some cases (like the rotten board) they didn't want to replace it so I had to do it myself while they waited. If I had not been there, they would have covered it up and I wouldn't have known. There were also several things that were done completely wrong and either could have or did cause damage to the house. For instance, I had asked them to hang the ledger board for the deck I was planning to build, but they hung it crooked. It was 2 inches higher than it should have been at one end. I called the project manager and he came out and made them fix it. Another problem was when they installed the siding around the electrical outlet, for some reason they removed the electrical box and attached the receptacle to the siding (a major fire hazard). I asked the manager to fix that as well. They also installed the gutter in such a way that the shingles were lifted up at the edge of the roof. This meant they caught and held rainwater which leaked down into the house. I didn't figure this out until months later. Unfortunately, based on our bad experience with the work crew and the quality of the workmanship, I would not recommend Shanco.
