We have known Erich for 30 years. It was a "no brainer" to choose Erich to build our house in Cayucos. We bought the lot in 2016 and he was with us before escrow even closed. He worked closely with our architects during the design and permitting process (18 Mos.). After we broke ground, we met often as a team to ensure that we achieving what we wanted...isn't it great when your builder's word is good, is on time to all meetings and builds a quality product to your needs?? That describes Erich Schaefer! Now, 5 years later, we are still in touch with Erich and consider him more than our builder...he is a trusted friend. He is still giving us advice and helping us make decisions.

Erich Schaefer built a beautiful custom home for us, and we would recommend him and his company to anyone that wants to enjoy a high-quality home, built with the utmost care and professionalism. Erich Schaefer is honest, patient, has high integrity, and is concerned about every aspect of building a “forever” home. He communicates very effectively and keeps track of each aspect of the building process. He is also flexible and can offer solutions to sudden problems or necessary adjustments. He really engages with the homeowner for many details and tries to find the optimum solution. Chris Bahr, our project manager, was excellent and worked very closely with us and the subcontractors to make sure the work was completed to the highest standards. We were building during Covid, and there were many times that supplies, or people were delayed, and the costs inevitably were higher than we had hoped for, but in the end, our home is exactly what we wanted, and it was worth all the effort that it took.

Erich Schaefer is the only contractor I would consider for another project. I just finished a project with him and on a 10 scale I give him a 20. I've built many projects and homes with other contractors and with my own partner who is a General contractor. I know Erich to track accurate costs and uses perfection as his goal in the details. He is extremely smart and has very studious knowledge of available products to use on any given project. I recommend Erich above all even my own Contractor Partner.
