River Woodcraft

We worked with River Woodcraft on two projects since we moved to the area. The first was a renovation of a home office, a library, and a mudroom. We spoke to multiple cabinet makers and custom woodworking about the requirements, which included multiple built in book shelves, a waterfall desk, a fireplace surround, and custom mudroom millwork. Our consultation with Zak gave us confidence that River would be able to build to out specifications. Frankly, out of four companies, River Woodcraft was the only one we were certain was capable of delivering what we wanted. The project came out amazing – River’s design, execution and craftmanship totally transformed the spaces. Most recently, we worked with River on a full renovation of our kitchen. Since the project involved major structural work including installing a steel beam and reframing multiple entryways, there was the added challenge of creating cabinetry for a space that didn’t yet exist. We worked extensively with Brian on the shop drawings to come up with the ideal layout to fit our needs. Aside from incredibly cabinetry to fit our kitchen, coffee bar, and butler’s pantry, River was able to create solutions to organize everything from utensils to wine to paper towels. The project included paneling several appliances, some new and some existing as well as creating a beautiful solid walnut countertop. They were able to create perfectly fitting panels for everything, even when it required multiple site visits to ensure that not only was everything beautiful, but also totally functional and durable. The best thing about working with River Woodcraft was the attention that Mare and Glenn gave us through every part of the process. They worked seamlessly with out general contractor and also made multiple site visits to ensure that the final product of out kitchen was exactly what we hoped for. There was never any doubt that the team at RWC would make things perfect. I would encourage anyone looking for custom cabinetry and millwork to reach out to River Woodcraft. It was a pleasure working with the whole River Woodcraft crew. They helped transform our fireplace to adding custom built in wall units surrounding with base cabinetry and floating shelves. The folks at River Woodcraft built us a 10seating dining table for our new semi-formal dining area. They is the centerpiece of the new room and consistently gets comments by every guest that visits. I absolutely love my kitchen transformation. River Woodcraft came over and designed a beautiful look to update my kitchen. I now have an amazing one of a kind extra large Walnut island, that everyone loves to gather around. River Woodcraft also designed a magnificent barn door that goes between my laundry room and kitchen...a true work of art! I worked with Zak Yannarella for remodeling my office. He designed and installed entire wall of built-in cabinetry, as well as making a desk for my husband. I am very happy with the outcome and everyone who comes in my office comments on the beauty of the cabinetry and everyone wants the desk! Zak was also accessible and responsive to my timelines and questions, respected my budget, giving me options and I felt we worked well with each other. Already have other projects in mind. Since the cabinetry was the centerpiece of the remodel, I am very happy to have found such a talented carpenter who obviously loves his work.
