Refinishing first is a wonderful company! David and Claire performed great quality and professional work refinishing our cabinets. They were friendly, hard-working, detail-oriented and trustful people! Great service and affordable price too! Highly recommended!

Our midcentury modern home came with beautiful original 1964 wooden kitchen cabinets. Unfortunately, it also came with the original 1964 built-in appliances, which no long worked reliably. Refinish First modified the kitchen cabinets to accommodate updated appliances. They skilfully made the minimum changes needed, preserving nearly all of the existing cabinets and beautifully matching the originals where adjustments were unavoidable. We were so thrilled we subsequently hired them to modify the kitchen cabinets in our daughter's 1910 home to accommodate its first-ever dishwasher, with another beautiful result. They also offered excellent advice about other professionals to consider to perform aspects of the project beyond their scope, including the new countertops, backsplash and flooring. Refinish First refinished our kitchen and guest bathroom cabinets including replacing the doors and hardware. They contained the dust to the work area and tidied up at the end of every day. Refinish First is comprised of detail oriented, focused professionals who are proud of their work. They were timely and worked hard to communicate clearly through each phase of the process, estimate to start through finish. Dave and Claire are a joy to work with and we are very happy with the end result. We highly recommend them.

Refinish First refinished our kitchen cabinet doors, baseboard trim and open shelves;replaced our hinges and drawer hardware so that they would close softly; and did a number of installations that made an incredible change in our storage capacity and organization. The result feels like a brand new kitchen! We loved working with Claire on the planning -- she understood our needs and respected our budget -- and Dave and his team were wonderful to work with as well. They communicated clearly, checked in regularly, and cleaned up thoroughly, Their craftsmanship was the highest quality -- we absolutely love the results

David and Claire were a comfortable couple to deal with from the get go. They are down to earth and want you to have the kitchen that YOU want, not that they pick out for you, but will make smart suggestions as needed. We were trying to match some hinges for some of the mismatched cabinets the previous owner installed and Claire was very helpful with that process, it may take a little bit, but it was worth the wait. We had all 17 doors and 8 drawers refinished in our kitchen and added hardware that was never there. We had the insides of the cabinets painted as well, which looks super sharp! That is probably my favorite part! The home's previous owner rigged a shelf below a half-sized cabinet to make it almost a full sized cabinet, Refinish First did some woodwork and actually built a real shelf that matched the others and then added FULL SIZED doors to make it a perfect match to all the others! Since we didn't have the countertops in the plans this time around, they were nice to paint the wood trim of the existing countertops to match to white cabinets! The crew with David was respectful and kept the areas outside of the kitchen organized and clean. They used paper in the hallway to the door so paint or anything else wouldn't be dropped on the floors. The entire kitchen floor and walls were masked off with paper as well. Ceiling and a divider wall were all covered with plastic. Everything stayed very clean. They left a zipper wall into the kitchen and used masking paper and taped off the fridge, but we could still use it at night. The whole process of priming, sanding, building, painting and installing took 5 days. We are super happy at the job that Refinish First has done!!! For the price of just a few brand new cabinets we have a brand new, bright, seemingly bigger kitchen and its all thanks to David, Claire and the crew at Refinish First, LLC.

We love our refinished cabinets thanks to Refinish First LLC. Clare and Dave were such a pleasure to work with, and we felt that they always had our best interests in mind during every step of the process. The team was great at explaining everything to us (since we have never gone through any kind of kitchen remodel) and our kitchen looks amazing now!

Love this company. They provided a very professional service. They were always on time and did what they said they would do. The outcome was better than I expected. I plan on using them again in a bathroom remodel. I had many comments from folks that said my cabinets looked brand new. I had them do the renew technique and it was perfect.

I had Refinish First replace my kitchen cabinet and drawer fronts and they did a very professional job. They were punctual and always courteous. When my cabinet hinges needed adjusting after the job was done, they were happy to come and fix the problem for me!

I hired Refinish First after seeing them at a home improvement event. I talked to other providers at the event also, but was impressed that it is a small, local company & asked them to view my kitchen project & give me a bid. They listened to exactly what I wanted & had some helpful suggestions of their own, too. They did a complete reface of my 38 yr. old kitchen cabinets, installing new doors & drawer fronts, priming & painting inside & out. I never thought my old cabinets could look so new. The bid included soft close hinges also and installation of new hardware. They completely tented off my kitchen area, & there was no mess, & the project was complete in the estimated time of 5 days from start to finish for a galley kitchen. Dave & Clare have energetic personalities, & I enjoyed having them in my house. I would definitely hire them again.

From the initial estimate to the day the kitchen renovation was completed, it was smooth sailing. The kitchen is now lovely! New cabinet doors and drawer fronts were expertly prepared and installed and every inch of trim was stripped, sanded, stained and varnished to match.
