Detail Movement Interiors

I’ve been wanting to change a couple of rooms in my home for a while now but I’ve been reluctant to work with interior designers because I’ve never worked with one before and I’ve heard different opinions. However, Raluca was very lovely, kind and professional. She listened to all of my problems and came up with a fun and wonderful solution for my home. She had different design services, so I didn’t feel pressured to buy a full design service. I chose the E-Design option as I wanted to try and do it myself. I wanted this service because I wanted to be involved in the process and know where my money would go into. Having a furniture list with all the links in one place made the buying process a very easy task for me. This made me feel more relaxed and that I can have a grip on my project. I really recommend Raluca for any design service you might choose. She really goes the extra mile and puts her whole heart in the project. She’s dedicated, passionate and it really feels like she is rooting for you and your project.

I don't know where to start when reviewing Detail Movement, perhaps by saying that her input has totally safeguarded our sanity during the design and inception of our new house project. Before choosing our original architect, my wife and I met with six or seven firms of architects. We found that for us, personality and a good eye were key. It was clear that we had very specific criteria and standards that made choosing difficult. We started on our journey having made the choice of another architect but the vision we had was not shared or accommodated. For months we wrestled with ideas that didn’t quite tick the right boxes for one or both of us and so we decided to start from scratch. We googled images of house plans we liked and a few stood out. Rather than attempt to get our architect to copy what we liked, we felt that the original designer would have a better understanding of the proportions and details that appealed to us. We didn’t even consider speaking to the other architects we’d previously dismissed, instead, we researched Detailed Movement and his former projects. We were so impressed by what we saw, we decided to contact her, in the expectation that she would be unsuitable, either on the basis of cost or personality. We were wrong on both counts. On the phone, she was immediately confidence inspiring and incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. We arranged a meeting on site and discussed costs and initial ideas. Much to our surprise, Detail Movement was actually better value than the other architects we’d considered yet she pointed out very important details of the site that no previous architect had raised that had a huge impact on the final design of the house. Reshaping a house, to those who have not attempted it before, is a massive and daunting prospect. The value of having a guide on your side who has done it so many times before and to such high standards of design and quality, really shouldn’t be underestimated. I needed help with my home. I wanted to update my flat and I knew what I furniture I had my eyes on to do the job. What I didn’t know was how to fit it inside. I had a look around the internet for interior designers but at the same time, I didn’t want to pay for a full service because it wasn’t necessary. I found Raluca and asked her if she could help me. She agreed and recommended her layout design service that would help me change the whole layout. Her design service of just updating layouts is fantastic! Straight forward, easy to understand and to put in action. I feel I got very good value for my money and I would definitely recommend her if you have the same problem.

As a colleague, Raluca surpassed all expectations with her friendliness and eagerness to help as she was always ready to roll up her sleeves, contributing to whatever was needed in the studio. As a designer, she interpreted quickly our client's needs, was highly creative and very resourceful with her knowledge of suppliers so she always found the product that was just right for the project.
