Payne Roofing & Remodeling

We had a very similar issue as the previous reviewer. We spent a substantial amount of money restoring our historic roof, something they indicated they were experienced in doing. Their "workmanship guarantee" is supposed to be a year but they refuse to answer our multiple call backs. It's been less then a year and the roof is already experiencing issues. All they did was power wash and coat when they were supposed to clean, fix any holes/issues, repair/replace flashing, etc. I also looked up the sherwin Williams product info and found that they didn't follow the instructions related to number of coats/thickness. The coating is already flaking away. Terrible.

The company came and gave us an estimate to repair a leak. We agreed to hire them and were told we would be given a contract with a ball park estimate of $400. They showed up for work on the day agreed, but no contract was ever issued. The workers asked for payment, but we refused to pay without a contractual agreement. The repair caused more damage to the house and we went from having a small leak to a significant one. When the owner was contacted, he referred me to his project manager, who effectively refused to acknowledge any responsibility and we were unable to resolve the issue. We hired a different roofing contractor to repair the original problem and the damage done by Payne Roofing. Professional looking website is misleading to potential customers. Buyer beware.
