Old Coast Hvac

I called Old Coast HVAC about a thermostat that was not working properly and the temps were going to be freezing the next few days. When I called they said that they could send a tech out that day and the service charge would be $135 and I agreed to that. When the tech was here and checking on the HVAC and thermostat I asked about thermostat prices he said they have one that they carry and recommend and he said was $125 and I don't remember the exact amount of labor but he said 100 something. After his diagnosis of the HVAC and thermostat, he determined I needed a new stat. I said what will the actual total cost be and he stepped outside to call his office and when he came back into my house he told me the cost would be $605 and I had already paid the service fee. I was blown away at the cost of installing an inexpensive stat and a 10-15 min installation, but I had to agree because it was going down to 32 degrees that night and I had nowhere to go. Also, I was afraid to question the tech because I was afraid he'd leave. The next day I called their office and was given one excuse after another of why it cost 605 for a stat that retails for 124-125 was so high. I did not agree to a warranty and I was not told it was an emergency call because it was during their regular business hours. I sincerely feel that they took advantage of the situation and the fact I'm a senior citizen. I asked two friends out-of-state that have worked as contractors and both said wow, bummer, outrageous. There are plenty of these companies in Savannah so do your homework and please don't get taken advantage of as I did. I did call them about this and was supposed to get a call back from the manager, but of course, I didn't get a callback.

Zach and his team were incredible! Our air conditioning unit broke the same day as my son's two year birthday party - which was being held at our house. Old Coast came out within an hour of my call (on a Saturday!) and was able to troubleshoot the problem and come up with a solution. They saved my son's birthday party! Their professionalism, knowledge, and service are unbeatable. They ended up installing a new unit and our electric bill was cut in HALF! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Zach and Old Coast. I highly recommend them and I am now a loyal customer and won't got anywhere else for my air conditioning and solar panel needs!!

We had our heating/AC system replaced by Old Coast and WOW what a difference. We used to have rooms that were hotter in the summer and wouldn't cool properly. Old Coast came out, gave us multiple options, and were extremely knowledgeable. Not only did they fix our comfort issues but cut our electric bills in HALF with a high efficiency system. with out a doubt the best air conditioning contractor I've ever worked with and we have worked with 4 others here in Savannah, none impressed me and my wife as much as Old Coast. I have 2 properties they worked on, one we had repair done and the other we bought a new system. Professional with extremely good customer service, our system turned out amazing and our electric bill went down about $90 with the new system. We shopped around and found there price was very fair and their quality unsurpassed. I would this firm recommend to anyone who is looking for nothing short of the best customer service and quality work.

For months I tried but they are immature and very difficult to work with. A 645% mark-up for a switch is pretty high.

Very professional. Had a complete HVAC put in. They did a good job with spacing the vents and advising on the best system. Walked us through the paper work for different rebates. We will be hiring them again.
