Mike Northover did a full house remodel including wiring, flooring, everything for us in 2018. I must say the job was perfect. I expected to find little things I would change or not particularly like but I have not. I have a dream kitchen with gorgeous cabinets with unbelievable space and pull outs so I have easy access to everything. Even my small appliances are in a pantry with electrical access and a pull out. Use the blender, toaster, or mixer and just push it back in and close the door...counter tops remain clean and clear. I have found absolutely nothing in the entire house I would change. The fireplace, the granite hanging shelf in the entry are all simply beautiful. He was never more than 3 days off from the three month calendar he presented to us when we started and is honest to a fault. Great guy, great work. Thank you for my dream come true,

Showcase Cabinetry & Design worked with us, our architect and builder to provide the most efficient cabinets for a new home construction. Mike Northover provided a wealth of knowledge targeting this homeowners tastes and needs for a gourmet kitchen and first class master suite. At the same time, we were able to install cost effective cabinetry in a bar and two guest suites without compromising on style.

First off I have to say we work with designers and general contractors all of the time. We were refered to them by the cabinet manufacturer who gave them great reviews. It honestly was a pleasure working with them through our kitchen remodel. They have a great eye for detail as well as good intuition on space saving ideas. We actually ended up on time and under budget. I now refer them to any of our clients that need similar work done. We couldn't be happier with their work.

We hired Michael Northover from Showcase Cabinetry as a design and build consultant as well as a contractor for all the cabinetry and built ins in our custom home. Michael & I worked side by side for a period of a couple of years, starting in approx 2008 and even after completion. When we bought our property with the intent to build, Michael was the first sub that I sought out to work with us. ( he did all of our cabinetry in 1996 on our last build). Michael has an excellent eye for design and is accountable, respectful and one of most loyal people you will meet. He takes great pride in his work, and will not sign off on any of the work until it lives up to his standard. He is the kind of contractor you would like to think of projects for him to do, just so you can keep him around! I have used Showcase Cabinetry and Design for two major remodels...two bathrooms for the first and a kitchen/laundry room for the second. I was very pleased both times. This was my first time doing remodels so I did not realize that it is not that common for a job to be completed on time. Mike gave me a schedule and a completion date and both times the remodel went according to schedule. Mike and his crew went out of their way to keep the dust to a minimum during the remodel. I could not of been happier and Showcase is the only contractor I will use for a remodel.

I hired Showcase Cabinetry & Design to replace my 22 year old wood deck in 2013. This was after many other successful projects completed by Mike Northover and his company over the past ten or more years. In this case, as in the past, I received an accurate itemized estimate of the total cost of the job along with a complete description of all materials to be used. Before any work was started, all materials were available along with an exact calendar of when the work would be completed. The work was completed as planned by expert craftsman and the worksite cleaned up perfectly when the job was done. There was no overrun of costs. Needless to say, I was more than happy with the resulting new deck, which included many design improvements over the one replaced and adds to the value of my home. I will gladly hire Showcase Cabinetry & Design for any future remodel projects.

Mike and Showcase did it again. As a General Contractor I depend on Mike to meet with my customers to determine the design, select the cabinets and help determine the price point of their new kitchen or bathroom. On the project we just completed Mike suggested we remove the walls separating the kitchen from the dining room and the walls that separated the small hall that lead to the dining room. His design helped secure the project for my company. His help in selecting the cabinets, coordinating their timely delivery and his professional knowledge and attitude was instrumental in making a very happy customer. Thank you Mike, Larry and Linda.

From start to finish, Michael and his team provided nothing but good advice. I was unclear about cabinet selection, but he offered a wonderful suggestion I hadn't thought of then demonstrated his idea clearly in a rendering of the project. More importantly, this company stands by its products. A hinge on one of the doors failed...and although it had been several years since installation, Michael and a technician stopped by my house to fix it at no charge. Oh-- and we absolutely love our kitchen. I would highly recommend Showcase Cabinetry.

Great service. Great price. Very responsive. Highly recommended. After shipping issue with one cabinet, this company went the extra mile to correct it quickly. Installation went very well. Very happy with our new island in our kitchen.

Project plagued by poor communication, missed timelines and price increases. Details: The project started out well, they understood the project and had helpful suggestions. Then the quoted price increased about 10% in the final contract, but the 10 cabinet doors were promised in 5-6 weeks--by Christmas--so I let the price increase go. The doors were late, and when they arrived in January, there were manufacturing issues; 6 were the wrong size, 1 was bored wrong, and 2 were damaged. Not a great statement about the manufacturer but things happen, so we ordered 8 replacements. That's when things really went south with Showcase. There was no follow-up without calls from me after I had waited the noted delivery times. For example, the replacement cabinet doors arrived at the showroom, but no call. When I did call to check, they told me the doors had been in for a while but that one door came in a different color. They blamed everything on the manufacturer, but I had to facilitate correction with the manufacturer myself as they were waiting for Showcase to let them know which door was the correct color. We also had Showcase order nobs and again, no idea as to arrival, no knowledge that the nobs had been backordered and no idea as to a fulfillment date several days after I had stopped by to pick them up. I instructed them to source them elsewhere--which they did. I escalated my concerns and experiences to the owner via their web email and he responded quickly. When we spoke the next day, he listened, told me he was upset by all of the issues as well, and he would get things corrected. I called my contact a week later to check on things (the nobs that time with still no resolution and no requested call)--so I again went to the owner. He had no idea of status and told me he had other jobs he was working on. Ultimately, it did not appear he did anything to correct the situation nor did he ever reach out to me directly after each of my calls to provide any status. Once I received the 8 replacement doors, I found 2 with hinge borings not per my contract specs--hence they would not fit without moving previously installed hinges and having extra holes. Showcase would not order 2 new doors, but offered to install the remaining doors using different hinges. My wife and I were tired of the now 4+month ordeal, so allowed them to do the install. The doors look good, the extra holes are not really visible, but the install did not come off flawlessly. I had requested a price adjustment for all of the problems and extra labor etc., but they had refused. In the end, Showcase offered to comp me the nobs which were now ~25% higher than originally quoted, to help make amends for all the issues. I just gave them a check for the 2 originally quoted costs for the doors and nobs--still a reduction from the cabinet doors less the higher than quoted "comped" nob amount. In my final letter with payment to owner Mike, I told him this had been the worst services experience following escalation to a manager/owner--ever. Problems are going to happen, but the telling factors are what occurs to correct and communicate status.
