Milholland Solar, Electric & Roofing

So many reasons why I WOULD NOT recommend this solar company to others. At first it seemed to be rainbows, sunshine and perfect promises. Then it turned out too good to be true. They are impossible to contact and take weeks to get ahold of when we found a leak due to the rain season. They show up to your house unannounced on their own time and do not care whether it is a good time or not to fix what needs to get fixed. They promised us no money to get it installed and since we are selling our home - now are trying to charge both our home buyer and us 10K to transfer the lease with them. Oh, this is also after nearly two weeks of trying to get a hold of them in the first place of transferring to new buyers. We never got the 10k rebate that was promised either. Milholland is not a trustworthy company if you are looking for someone to be customer service based or careful with your home. They are a cancer to actual reputable Solar companies and deserve to be burned to the ground. I will never trust, like, or want to use another Solar company again because of how useless and negatively they have impacted my home with their negligence. Rating: 0.5/5 stars ✨

My first experience with this company seem amazing but soon after it began to get very difficult. Through the whole process of getting the solar installed I had to constantly ask what the next step was and felt like I had been left in the dark most of this process. Anytime I messaged or called my representative to ask a question I wouldn't get a response sometimes for days or I would have to send another message to ask again. When they did reply I usually got the excuse of "sorry my message didn't go through" although this wasn't always a problem and at times I did get a quick reply most the time I did not. I do understand there is a lot of moving parts when it comes to solar or at least now I do. Even after eddison came out to approve everything no one reached put to tell me the next step. Instead I got call one day that someone was at my house to set up an app I believe and I told him that no one reached out to let me know he was coming so I wasn't home. He then said "I know I was given a list of names and your name was at the top so just came by" I then told him again I wasn't home and he said he could come by next week which he never did. I then reached out to the person I have been in contact with since my process started and told him what happened and he explained that must of been so and so and he is new sorry about that. Since then which happened in November no one has come over to help set up or whatever I guess they were suppose to do. Today I received an email about it and was told to download an app and where to see the production which was helpful but then realized my system is not even on. Which was a surprise to me because I had been told my system was up and running. Currently, I still have no idea what the next step is in this process.

We simply couldn't be happier with our solar installation from Milholland Electric. From the representative that came to our house to the final inspection, this was the best experience ever.The communication between the entire company and our household was magnificent. The installers were professional and very courteous and explained the entire installation process and gave us a time table for inspection which was right on target. The Sunpower Monitoring Portal is easy to use and we look forward to our electrical savings. The gals in the front office are very customer friendly and very efficient. We enjoyed working with the entire Milholland team and love the fact that they are so family oriented and El Cajon based. We would be so happy to recommend this entire team of professional to anyone that wants the great "Solar Experience". Thanks Milholland.
