Meg Tawes has incredible insight into her clients' needs and vision. Even if you don't have a vision right away, she can lead you to one. I live in Georgetown and I wanted a more modern, transition look infused into my old Georgetown row house. She has impeccable taste-- and she showed me how to bring different patterns and designs together. When I met Meg Tawes I knew right away that it would be a good fit-- she created sketches and gave me "idea sheets"-- she seemed very professional from the onset. This all proved to be correct. Meg Tawes is timely and very responsive. Sometimes I wonder . . .does she have the exact same taste in that she picks out exactly what I like . . . .or is that she has me figured out? Then she did my friend's house and I learned she knows her client . ..isn't that perfect to have a designer who can create your dream!! I felt compelled to write this houzz recommendation because when I look around every evening at my home, I am so happy.

Meg helped us design our new build soup to nuts including building selections, paint, hardware, built ins, and interior furnishings. She was amazing and people that come over rave about how the place looks. She was cognizant of cost and helped balance cost and aesthetic. The overall look is transitional (a little modern in some places).

I had the privilege of working with Meg on a consulting project. Her eye for detail is second to none, and she has an amazing ability to translate her clients' desires into functional and beautiful designs.
