Located in the heart of Northbrook, IL, our nationally recognized and award winning architectural firm specializes in home construction remodels, new home construction plans and complete home renovation projects. We engaged Matt to develop plans for a Wilmette addition. Matt strung us along for weeks without any meaningful plans and then stopped taking our calls / texts. My father had worked with Matt for years on many single family homes and had a fabulous relationship. Matt would not return his calls either. Not sure what happened to Matt and his firm, but we are out at least 2 months of time and the deposit on the plans.

I have been working with Matt for fifteen years. Together we have won numerous awards for custom homebuilding design. Matt pays attention to his buyers needs and how they relate to a budget. He is flexible and professional...he stands apart from the "look at me" type work we see all too often by custom designers. I would highly recommend him for a project!

Matthias Jans Architects did an amazing job thinking outside the box for our project. Always professional, respectful of our budget and preferences, and always willing to try new ideas or suggestions. Matt went above and beyond in so many different ways, and the end result was a beautiful place to call home. Highly recommended for any project and we will definitely use Matthias Jans Architects again!

I've worked with Matt Jans and company for well over 30 years where he did approximately 80% of the architecture (residential and commercial) for the companies I've had the pleasure of working for over the years. The service is excellent, as is product development, value engineering, turn around time and the final product. Matt offers a top notch product at a very fair price. I recommend his services to anyone looking for a quality architectural experience.
