Mark from Archology is an excellent architect, we've used his firm on many of my companies projects that range from $20,000 to well over $90,000 and have no complaints. Archology is one of the top architecture firms on the eastern seaboard. I have worked with Mark and his team on a multitude of project types and he continues to shine. The team at Archology is dedicated to the quality of work and more importantly, they maintain the highest level of ethics and integrity. Mark will not allow a client to jeopardize their safety or others but cutting the corners that other architects might overlook. We have called their office and found his team working nights and even weekends to finish projects with tight deadlines and still did it better than anyone else we offered the contract to previously. Our firm hired Mark Reddin to review several of our projects for engineer approval. Most of the projects that Mark reviewed for us were not done in a timely manner. Follow ups were few and far between, and when we attempted to contact Mark via email or phone, there was very little attempt on his part to call or email back. It reached a point where we had no choice but to go to his office and try to communicate to one of his subordinates in order to receive our stamped plans. Extremely unprofessional, especially when a project is in a time crunch. I would not recommend him to anyone, unless they weren't worried about time management on a job.

Mark is one of the brightest architects we have ever met. My wife's comments after meeting with him were "He gets it!". Mark really is able to understand the ideas, needs and concept, and turn it into a design that meets everything. Mark is also one of the most prompt and professional individuals we have ever met. He was able to meet very tight timelines that happens with most project. Would highly recommend Mark for any project!!!

We carefully bid out our planning / architectural services to several firms and awarded the work to Archology based on Mark Redden’s track record/references, quick understanding of our requirements and reasonable rates. In the initial few meetings, it was clear that Mark was an intelligent, hardworking architect, who would add great value with his suggestions plus he was just fun to work with. As we developed the bid specs, Mark was flexible to our changing requirements, responsive and we incorporated many of his ideas into the design including the use of ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) to build our coastal home. As we bid out the building contract to three builders, Mark managed the entire process providing clarifications and correspondence with all parties. Then as we awarded the bid, we threw a curve at Mark, asking if we could reverse the floor plan to provide better water views. Mark didn’t hesitate and quickly turned around another set of building specs that became the ones we used going forward. Throughout the build process, we asked Mark to oversee the project and visit the site frequently to make sure that any deviations to the spec were identified and corrected. In addition, he helped us with many of the selections and worked as a trusted expert to resolve some of the issues we had with our builder. In the end, we are so happy with the final product -- a 4,000 square foot house (with additional 3,000 square foot of exterior deck), 5 bedrooms, 4-1/2 baths, upside-down floor plan and with an amazing 360 degree large roof deck. The architectural style fits perfectly in our community and we receive many compliments from friends and neighbors when they see our house. I would highly recommend Mark and Archology for any build project and if possible, I would award him and his company six stars!

I would recommend Mark Redden and have already done so to our friends, family, neighbors and contacts. Mark sat with my wife and just a few times to custom design a home in Dewey Beach that we only conceptually knew what we wanted. He also visited the older home that we couldn't save on the building site prior to its demolition. This was important since we tried to blend the charm of the old Dewey residence with the new construction. Mark hit a home run allowing us to even use some of the vintage materials. The home was a 100% custom design that incorporated some specialty materials and windows to capture both the bay and ocean views from several of the rooms and a fabulous roof top deck. People regularly shout out how much they love the house as they pass by. Mark did it all at a very fair price and delivered on time while handling the inevitable changes.
