Mike Stroh made an immediate and lasting impact on our construction project. After just one meeting he immediately understood our needs and "wish lists" for the new house and quickly pulled together draft designs which exceeded all our expectations. Our experience working with Mike really couldn't have been better - he was friendly, responsive, met all deadlines and his design plans and use of space were first rate. Mike's differentiator is his ability to listen to his clients and translate their wishes into cost-effective designs. He worked closely with our construction team and was able to react quickly and intelligently to change requests and areas where we needed to reduce costs. Working with Mike & the Trio team was truly a delight. We had never been through a design/build project and Mike made it very easy for us, while at the same time focusing on the utmost details and ensuring the project reflected our functional requirements while at the same time appealing to the aesthetic we wanted to achieve. Our first meeting focused on how we envisoned using space and getting to know how we lived our lives. From that Mike started developing a house from an idea. It was such a unique approach and we were shocked from a few meetings how seemlessly and comprehensively he managed to capture our personalities in the house. We never felt pressured by Mike and a couple of times throughout the project (which as a year in the making) we hit some hiccups. MIke always had good solutions and worked hard to make sure our design wasn't compromised, even if it meant more work for him for no additional fees. He was always willing to go the extra mile and although our project was a small one in comparison to some of the other projects he is working on, he always made us feel like our project was of utmost importance. We never envisoned that our architect would accompany us to speak to our AV vendors or take the time to go tile shopping with us. These are just the extras Mike does. He is completely comprehensive in his approach and worries about the littlest details that had never even crossed our minds. He is an absolute perfectionist and it shows in his work. He was never afraid to disagree with our contractors and insist upon the design elements that make our house unique. At the same time, we changed our minds a couple of times and Mike was always gracious in accomodating us and ensuring we got everything we wanted. He always made time to understand and address our concerns no matter how small they were. We felt like we were working with a friend that we had known for years. We were almost sad when the design phase was complete and would not hesitate to work on another design with Mike. We would highly recommend him. It truly was a pleasure to work with this team.

I was hired by Trio Design as the landscape architect on one of their residential projects and loved working with them. From the beginning, the whole team was enthusiastic about the project and very conscious of the client's wishes. The architect, Mike Stroh was great at balancing the creative design with the client's budget. The design and functionality of the home are excellent and it was a pleasure working with them.

We appointed Trio Design as the architectural consultants to design our family home in the Cayman Islands. We were drawn to Trio mainly by founder Mike Stroh's unpretentious, flexible, professional and friendly manner. By sharing design ideas that we liked from Houzz, Trio was not only able to create the perfect home for us, but was heavily involved in all elements of the build and provided guidance and support throughout to ensure that our needs were met and that our vision became a reality. Unlike most architectural firms, with Trio the project doesn't end once you have planning permission. Trio attended all construction meetings (both off and onsite), advised on budget allocations and gave guidance on interior design when requested. For those not in the industry, building a house can be a stressful and frustrating experience and Trio certainly minimised these negative aspects for us. Most importantly, we felt as though Trio really cared about our project - irrespective of size, budget or style. I would definitely recommend Trio and, particularly, Mike Stroh.

I have consulted with trio designs in regards to my apartment. They have provided extremely helpful insights, recommendations and so forth. They are truly knowledgeable, professional and fair-priced.
