Hello and Welcome! My name is Tamara Akers, Certified Interior Decorator, Professional Organizer and Owner of LTB Designs - an award-winning, one-stop residential design and staging company founded in 2004 and based in Anne Arundel County MD. With many years of operating a successful business, I bring all of my experiences, along with a deep passion for design, an innate ability to visualize and organize, and a drive for excellence, to help create homes that work for you, not against you - homes that allow you to get to doing what's important - LIVING! Our one-stop approach provides you with the flexibility to pick which services serve you best at whatever stage you are in life. We offer full room design, redesign (using your existing items), home staging, room finishing, and/or professional organization. We create spaces that are aesthetically pleasing, reflect your style, and that intuitively function at their highest level so you can operate at your highest level. Home is about so many things, the least of which should be futzing over which paint color to put on the wall or which sofa to purchase or where to put all the shoes. Leave that to us! Tammy came to us after a very stressful move. She is a very organized skilled designer. With not a single complaint, she went to work on an impossible task of making sense out of mislabeled boxes placed in wrong areas of the house. After she had finished in just 3 days, the house was not just organized but decorated. She has a good eye and a good sense of proportion. I will be using her again.

Tamara of LTB was absolutely fantastic! She helped me stage my house for sale, using mainly my own furniture and decorations, since my budget wasn't terribly large. In the end, she had the place looking like something out of a magazine article, at least to me, and she did it at almost exactly the price we discussed beforehand. She was professional, friendly, highly competent, on schedule, and a true pleasure to work with. If you're near LTB and need similar assistance, please give her a call. You will definitely not be disappointed.

February 2017 Review - Tamara did it AGAIN!!! WOW!!! She took old-and-run down-not-so-retro-more-like-junk and made it POP-DAZZLE-SPARKLE!!!! WOW!!! And everything is organized and exactly where I need it!! This very talented lady can do it ALL! She makes a home or space comfortable, functional, AND gorgeous. VERY HARD to do!! Tammy came to my house for a full day to do a redesign of my main floor. She was able to help me use the furniture and trinkets I already have to make my house look great! She not only gave me some wonderful ideas that fit my budget - she also took time to teach me about design - such as how high to hang pictures, the most aesthetic view for curtains, and how to add small details that really create a room. I loved that she gave me exact measurements for furniture, curtains and side tables, lamps, etc - so I don't have to guess. I'm slowly putting everything together - and I'm loving it. She really took her time and knows her stuff! I can't wait to send the pictures of my final put together rooms!

Tamara did a fabulous job on a 6 room 100 year duplex in Frederick. She literally removed over 8,000 pounds of debris - food, clothing, damaged furniture papers and undesignated, horrendous junk, which included a basement crammed with boxes of clothing, papers, decorative items, household junk. After removing the debris from the main levels she meticulously organized clothing in bureaus, in closets, cleaned drawers, disposed of expired food, cleaned an unsanitary refrigerator. She organized the pantry and devised a filing system for household papers. She set up filing systems and a desk area for me. Before her arrival, this house was a dusty chaotic shambles whose grace and beauty was buried. She did an extraordinary job of clearing, organizing, and creating a place of bedlam into a lovely home. She had to contend with my husband who is a mid-level hoarder. She dealt with him in a reasonable, yet assertive manner and has encouraged and helped us with specific actions to maintain order and beauty .She arranged and displayed photos, mementos and decorative objects in an elegant way, showing her expertise as an interior designer. She worked efficiently, carefully and diligently and helped us feel pride and pleasure in our home again. For the work on the basement she saved us thousands of dollars by. recruiting her son and another young man who came highly recommended and secured a dumpster, 18'D by 10W' x 4.5H". She spent much effort and time in finding a small enough dumpster that fit into our limited space. She researched prices and assembled a team which saved us a tremendous amount of money and time. They cleared the basement in 7 hours, also stripping out carpeting 22' by 10' plus cleaning and organizing a semi-dirty, chaotic bathroom and laundry. She and her helpers literally stomped on mounds of debris to insure that everything was removed today. I cannot praise her enough. I have already recommended her to a friend.

We hired Tamara to design a nursery for our baby boy. She took the time to really understand our style before putting together a wonderful design that fit in with the rest of our house. It was important to us that she use some pieces we already owned and she did so expertly. Tamara was able to put a well-designed room together in just a few weeks, right in time for baby's arrival. Not only was the quality of her work superb, she was a joy to work with- we enjoyed the process so much we are currently working with her on another room in our house.

I hired Tamara for her help with a renovation of my company's sky-box at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium, home of the Frederick Keys, the Baltimore Orioles minor league ball team. Tamara was a pleasure to work with and a professional from start to finish. She worked expertly within the constraints of a somewhat limited budget and rolled up her sleeves to get the job done during a several day break between home-stands after the season had begun, ensuring that we never lost the use of the box for any games. The final result gave us a space that was branded but not overwhelming, comfortable and homey with a classic baseball feel. I couldn't be happier with the entire experience and the final result!

Tamara is extremely professional and great to work with! She is reliable, hard-working, and has great ideas and endless energy. She will not stop working until the job is done and the customer is satisfied. I originally hired her to get a few rooms in my home organized- I am a mom of 5 small children. Finding time to organize is quite a task for me. She did an exceptional job- its organized and looks amazing! I also found out while she was working that she has a talent for decorating. So I hired her to add some flair to my kitchen, sunroom, and guest room. They look beautiful, inviting, and were completed within my budget. I can now have guests over and feel proud of my home!!! I cannot say enough about Tamara. She is the best! You won't be disappointed. She can do it all!

Commented: Where are the area rugs from?Believe it or not, these area rugs are from Home Depot - Bazaar Petal 01 and Bazaar Trim 01. Mixing inexpensive items with more expensive items can elevate the inexpensive if done correctly. Good luck...
