Several years back, an hour-long, paint consultation with Loren Reid Seaman evolved into several major renovations in my home. The most recent was the remodel of my “1980’s” family room. It was dark, uninviting and had a fireplace with old gas burning logs. Loren had two beautiful grey print chairs with studding in his showroom. I fell in love with them and that started the process. Loren makes picking fabric, artwork, paint and furniture fun. Those are some things that I never imagined could be fun. The family room is now bright and cozy with all new furniture, lamps and custom artwork. The old red brick fireplace was recovered with a ceramic tile front and the old logs were replaced with colored fire glass. Loren just doesn’t deliver furniture, lamps, window dressings and artwork and then walk away. He arrives armed with an array of plants, vases and knick-knacks to make a new room even more exciting. His creative ideas and services are excellent. Every aspect of the remodeled room is perfect before he leaves. This renovation also included two full bathrooms and a powder room. The bathrooms look spa-like with the tile and stone work. The powder room off the family room perfectly coordinates with the rest of the renovation. People who come into my home always comment on the decorating – it is classy chic, but also comfortable and inviting. Loren has become a great friend over the years.
