Livia was great. She really took the time to understand our need, and helped us update our home. Her attention to detail was phenomenal. She did an amazing job blending the old and new furniture and decor. She provided consultation for colour, colour coordination, furniture arrangement, décor as well as bathroom update. We would definitely recommend Livia.

We hired Livia as we decided to renovate our house. This was our first big renovation. We had no experience of renovations. I usually do a lot of research on anything so we figured early on that we needed a designer to avoid any costly mistakes. I’m not good with colours and didn’t want to end up with something we hated after spending time and money. We are so happy we chose Livia to help us. We did entire second floor renovations. Livia helped us choose the tiles for the floor, hardwood, all bath fixtures, bedroom furniture and light fixtures. She also helped us choose the wall paint colors. It was so much fun shopping with her too. She would always guide us and steer us away from bad choices. She would always give reasons and explain why certain choices wouldn’t work. Which made so much sense. It all turned out so fabulous ! We love our new space and very satisfied with Livia. She is very patient and punctual. She’s very passionate about her work and very professional! We would definitely recommend her to our friends and family.

Having worked with Livia on another project just recently I knew she was professional, knowledgeable, on time and met deadlines. My project was a remodel of my basement. She first came & made suggestions which we agreed with. A 3D blueprint was sent to us showing our plan & measurements. This 3D was very helpful as we could see what our project would look like when finished. We were very happy with Livia's work ethic and the look of our project.

I've been waiting a long time to make improvements to my home. I'd been thinking about a getting a designer for even longer. Livia Drennan of Story by Design was recommended to me by another client. I am so happy I hired her. Livia used a 3D modeling tool to show me her vision for my living room layout that I then could execute on - with her help of course!. She helped me pick lovely colors for my living room. She also came with me to pick out the furniture I needed and narrowed down the fabric choices to help me make a decision.. She helped me pick out curtains for several rooms and did all the coordination for me with the company who would hand make them. Home decorating is just not my passion. Making decisions on what to do and where to go can be overwhelming for me,. But with Livia, it was made easy. This review is also a big Thank You to her for all she did for me.

Hiring Livia was the best decision I made while doing my reno. The Best Value by far. I first contacted Livia because of her expertise in color. Our priority was for Livia to choose a color that would make our basement cozy and warm and match our new floor, furniture, etc.. We also wanted to change the colors in all the rooms throughout the entire house. We all agree in my family that she was right on with her choices for all the rooms. Not an easy task. She delivered on color (why we hired her) but she also gave us so many practical designer tips that made a huge difference. I kept calling her back for one more hour of consultation! Livia is all about big impact - great value. The icing on the cake is her attitude. You feel you're with a friend. She cares. It's her passion. It really shows. Livia has been instrumental in helping me to redecorate a very small and challenging main floor powder-room in my home. She expertly diagnosed the perfect colour scheme for my existing floor tiles, cabinetry and counter top - and guided me to finding a fabulous wall covering. Livia has helped us in choosing kitchen cabinets and paint colours for the kitchen and family room. We were constraints by the floor tiles that contrasted with the granite countertop which we wanted to keep. We could absolutely not see how these colours could be brought together, but Livia made it work! We were skeptical and even resistant at first, but we went with her recommendations and we are now so grateful we did! Even the ugly floor titles now work with the rest of the room and do not seem such an eye-sore any more. We were then educated by Livia about the rules of picture hanging and with her help, we created eye-catching displays of art around the house. We will be definitely working with Livia again, focusing on other rooms in our house.

Anyone who has undertaken a home renovation project has stories about problems and frustrations. In my case, Livia Drennan helped me to navigate trough all the interior design issues (choosing the flooring for the whole house; paint colours; kitchen design; art display; choosing the lighting; room re-design; home stores) to get the best for my house. She suggested the proper design for the counter top and backsplash that makes my kitchen looks right and fit together. Then, she gave me great advise regarding paint colours for which I receive many compliments when I have guests over. She really has an expert's touch!
