About Us

I started Leslie Saul & Associates on December 21, 1992. It may be a gift or a curse, but I can walk into a space and see the possibilities and can visualize the completed project. Once I listen to the clients talk about their wants, needs, challenges and look at images of things they like and don’t like, this vision of what the space can be, comes into sharper focus. LS&A is providing architecture and interiors for people who work, play, age, live and learn. We specialize in complex architectural and interior design projects. We thrive on challenging assignments in specialty areas that include renovations and new construction. For over 25 years, we have designed projects large and small for clients large and small. “No job is too big, no design firm is too small. When I reached out to our clientele about moving offices, Leslie reached out an offered her services (for which I was grateful). Leslie and her team helped me from top to bottom with every inch of the new office space. They went above and beyond in every aspect of the phrase. They worked long hours to help me meet my pressing deadlines. Their knowledge of every possible consideration for your office atmosphere is unparalleled. Since the completion of the design plan, they have all been very accessible as questions come up during construction. I'd highly recommend Leslie and her team of experts. You won't be disappointed.

The team guided the congregation through visioning, design choices, selection of a general contractor and seeing the project through to completion. The team understood our budget limitations and was able to suggest affordable and classy options. The color choices worked beautifully in the space. I have known Leslie Saul since she started in Boston in the 70s.I am pleased to say that the projects we did together were always a win/win/win (for me, for Leslie and most importantly for our clients). When we worked on the Fidelity Texas project during my Herman Miller days in 1983,she was able to finish the project and enter it for me to get paid early enough to help pay for my son's Bar Mitzvah! I have never forgotten her thoughtfulness and professionalism and how happy we were!

Back in the late 90’s, Ruven engaged LS&A onto a nursing home renovation project in Western MA. On touring the facility with Leslie and Suma, Suma was overcome with the depressing nature of the residents and the environment. Leslie responded with her characteristic exuberance, “No need to be sad, we will make this a better place for the residents and staff.” And, of course, Leslie, Suma and the LS&A team did just that!

I so admire Leslie's seemingly endless enthusiasm and creativity. One of my early impressions of Leslie was at a networking event years ago where she greeted me with such vibrant energy, introducing me to everyone she knew as though we'd been lifelong friends -- a move that continues to this day -- and I was awed, thinking, "I've only met this woman a few times, how is she so willing to share her network?" Since then I've grown to know her better through the CREW Boston Entrepreneur Exchange and BSA Women Principals Group. Even when the discussion turns to mundane business practices, Leslie's passion and commitment are evident. Her commitment to her business, her family, her causes, and to reminding each of us that we can be ourselves -- and stand up for ourselves -- are priceless. I may never know why Leslie chose to take me into her circle, but I always enjoy the color and warmth she adds to our world.
