I have worked with various designers over the years. I have never worked with anyone as talented and professional as Kristi Hughes. She helped my husband and myself from start to finish on a large addition and remodel of a 1930's Tudor home. Her services included scale drawings for the kitchen and everything from finishes to paint in the remainder of the home. Kristi is also extremely knowledgable about the mechanics of a remodel. She saved us a lot of money with her ability to figure out innovative ways to deal with the many issues encountered in a remodel of this type. Kristi is an artist as well as a designer. She has an amazing eye for color, texture and scale which is very important to the final outcome. In addition Kristi is very easy to work with. She listened to us and interpreted our needs perfectly. Consequently our home looks the way it would have if I could have done it myself, only better. When it comes to billing Kristi is prompt and professional. I never had to wonder what something was costing and was never surprised with a large bill I didn't understand. In closing I am delighted with the results and feel it was money well spent.

Besides being a designer, she is a talented painter and sculptor, who also teaches art workshops. The walls of her shop are filled with her artwork as well as work by other local artists. Ideas flow and new pieces are constantly appearing. Found objects are repurposed into furnishings, lamps, tabletop pieces and wall art. She seems to see possibilities in everything around her, and acts on it to create unique pieces.
