About Us

Why hire a designer only to fall in love with an idea that cannot be built? Not only is our team dedicated to creating the artistic vision of your dreams, but as certified electricians, we also have the training and knowledge to ensure the designs we produce are code-compliant and logistically sound. Jason Krist Electric is an electrical contractor based in Sonoma County, California, specializing in residential remodel and new construction, and lighting design and installation. Our aim is to be a trusted partner; providing consultation, advice, product research, and precision execution in all phases of your project. Lighting is our passion, and we stay abreast of the rapid developments in a field that is changing radically in our time. We research and study lighting to help out with design and product selection, a process that would otherwise require our customers to spend extensive time and mental energy trying to wade through the dizzying array of options. We have the knowledge and experience to help in both design and implementation, so projects move smoothly through the permitting and inspection process.

Jason Krist and his whole team are a bunch of phenomenal people who do amazing work. I am the owner of a top interior design firm in Sonoma County and our clients expect the very best. Jason and his team are exactly that. As a designer (but not a lighting designer) the thing that is the most valuable for me is Jason's depth of knowledge when it comes to lighting design. He is the expert on the subject and has so many certifications that he knows how a certain light will reflect off of a wall, and enhance or diminish a space. Even perhaps more importantly, he can EXPLAIN it to our clients! His whole crew is really clean cut and personable. I have never had any issues with them, nor complaints from clients. I highly recommend you use Jason for lighting design as well as his team for the installation. They are the true one stop shop!

I work with a national facilities management company, and was very fortunate to find Jason Krist Electric by referral from another of my vendors. They performed excellent work on a small lighting project at a reasonable price as well as met all expectations for keeping in communication, meeting appointment times, and helping us to keep our client informed. I am a professional Home Inspector so I have seen a lot of electrical work over the years some good and some bad. So when I needed work done on my home I called Jason, twice, and recommend him any time someone asks me for an electrician. Jason and his crew did excellent work both times I needed him.

Jason came out to our house for a consultation. He was prompt and professional. We had many questions for him and he took his time to explain everything to us. In the end he saved us a ton of money by explaining to us that we did not need to replace our existing system, and he explained to us how to make it work for us. He was very knowledgeable and generous with his time even though we didn't end up needing to hire an electrician.

We've used Jason and his crew to replace the aged and ugly fluorescent lights in our kitchen and family room. Jason worked with us to decide on our new lighting placement, type of lights and actual products. Hew as even able to help us with purchasing. Our lights are the best upgrade we have done to our home!! Jason and his crew re professional, efficient and neat. Thank you!!

Jason and his crew came in and re-wired part of my Repair Shop to accommodate us installing a new Smog machine. He was fast friendly and most importantly did the job correct. I would have no problem referring Jason and his crew, to any of my friends.

The lighting company that we bought our rail lighting from gave me Jason's name as their recommendation for installation. The rail lighting that we purchased is some of the newest lighting in this fast moving, innovative industry. As Jason was installing this lighting, I asked him how he kept up with the innovations in the lighting industry. He told me about the online reading and testing that is now required to keep current. The installation was very professional as was Jason. Because of Jason's professional expertise on service, I have recommended Jason Krist Electric to four other neighbors and friends. Each one has thanked me and commented on Jason's professional service. We have use him for three other electrical jobs in our home. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

We hired Jason Krist Electric for a fairly large commercial project in Sonoma County. Jason was very knowledgeable and took the lead on making sure all of the work was done on schedule and to the highest quality, and helped educate our team in the process. Even after the project was completed, he continued his excellent service and corrected any issues that came up with the electrical fixtures. We would definitely like to work with him again should we do another project in the area.

Jason and his crew completely rewired my home including upgrading the electric panel, adding new phone lines, and installing all new lighting. This project was not an easy one and presented a number of challenges, yet Jason and his electricians took it all in stride and worked hard to bring a 1960 ranch style home into the 21st century.
