Full service design business offers space planning, consultation for Kitchen and bath renovation or new home construction, source for furniture, rugs, sun shading systems, custom window treatments, lighting, color consultation and downsizing expertise. Joanne will create floor plans and guide your decisions about what’s best to fit into your new space—and what’s best to leave out. Joanne’s advice was instrumental in our kitchen redesign. Her recommendation was to remove a wall adjacent to a living room door and to build a divider for a fridge space on the opposite side of the wall - which made the space not only open, but functional as well. Because of that change, we were able to add several cabinets, thus creating more storage in our small kitchen (which doesn’t look small anymore!) With a keen for design and exquisite taste, she guided us through the process with a skillful eye – from choosing color schemes for materials to selecting stylish, yet functional cabinets -- while respecting our vision that both my husband and I wanted to incorporate. Joanne was knowledgeable, personable, professional, and dedicated to her work with us. We look forward to working with her again in the near future.

Extraordinary results executed with professionalism, creativity, and timeliness. Joanne took our recently purchased 3-bedroom beachfront condo, and with an eye to keeping costs down, oversaw renovation and decoration turning it into a spectacular vacation home. Joanne was extremely easy to work with and spent time understanding our vision as the jumping off point for her ideas. I have worked with Joanne over many years. She has helped me to renovate and furnish 4 different homes, including kitchen, bathroom and living room renovations, color consultations, selection of furniture, window treatments, light fixtures and rugs. Obviously I've been very pleased with the process and the results, since I have gone back to Joanne multiple times! She has a keen eye for color and design, and she works very hard to understand your personal style so that the end product reflects you and your lifestyle. Joanne works within the budget you give her and finds the best quality for the dollars available. I have no hesitation recommending Joanne to friends and family who are looking for design consultation, which is another measure of my confidence in her.

I hired Joanne to refurbish our condo after I had rented it for 3 years and was moving back in. I wanted a fresh, modern look with a warm and cheerful feel with and new furniture and wall colors. The main focal point Joanne had to work with was a painting my husband and I purchased in France. The result ...SPECTACULAR! Every time I walk into my home I feel joy and happiness. Friends comments are: "your home is happiness" and "this is you". I couldn't give a better compliment. My husband and I are thrilled with our new home!

Joanne has a superb sense of style and made our home in Old Orchard Beach just beautiful and comfortable! Joanne listened carefully to what I wanted and geared her suggestions to my wishes. She paid attention to my budget and found great furnishings that came within my budget. Joanne is especially talented with colors and design. I love walking into my home now! Hiring her made things so easy. I can't wait to work with her on colors and design for our new place at Sugarloaf Mountain.

JML Casual Home Design was instrumental in selecting the absolutely perfect sofa upholstery fabric to complement other patterns in our living room. We were encouraged to select another fabric for pillows and trim that, altogether tied the whole room together into a lush, inviting experience. Joanne is a truly professional designer. She has the perfect eye for selecting materials and furniture that match the surroundings. Her thoughtful and calm approach to design work helped to assure us that she knew what she was doing. The quality of her work is absolutely impressive. The plan was efficiently followed through and and budgets were met. JLM Casual Home Design is now our go-to business.
