I have been thrilled to work on several projects that Jason designed over the years. He is an incredible home plan designer. Jason's easy going nature and professionalism makes him a breeze to work with. His plans are thorough, well thought out, and very well detailed. My favorite part of Jason's talent is that each plan is unique and perfectly reflects the client's aesthetic needs as well as functional needs.

Jason took these rudimentary drawings coupled with our ideas, countless pictures from Houzz, and his wise suggestions in order to develop the detailed plans for our home. The person who recommended Jason to us is my new best friend. Jason recently designed the plans for our new house, a 4200 sq ft lake home. The final product and the process to get there could not have satisfied us more. Jason has many strong qualities, but I think the one that stands out most is his ability to "listen." Not only did he listen fully to our actual stated desires concerning the home's features, but he even seemed to "hear" things that we didn't fully explain. He then took those stated desires and unstated thoughts and converted them into a design that was exactly what we had envisioned in our mind's eye. He also was very good at meeting our desired timelines, staying within cost parameters and completing timely revisions. His personality and demeanor are delightful, and he worked seamlessly with our builder. This is the third house we have built and the third designer with whom we've worked. Jason is the best by leaps and bounds. While always ready to make useful recommendations, he is in every way dedicated to fulfilling the customer's desires and not to forcing on the customer some design that he thinks would be appropriate. We would recommend him without reservation.

We received a referral from our builder to consult with Jason to design our new custom home. We were very pleased with the entire process. It's extremely refreshing to meet with a professional designer who can take our ideas and turn it into a masterpiece. When we first met with Jason, we gave him a cut up version of a house and without Jason's help - that would have been exactly what we would have built. When I called Jason at J L Thompson Design Group I was in a panic about designing the exterior of our house. Not only did we need help with the design, but we only had a short time to do the designing. Jason met with us the next day and listened to what my dreams were for the house and made those dreams come to life. It felt like he knew what I wanted more than I did.
