Intellectually stimulating woman with a passion for design. I have known Jamie for years in our industry and she is one of the leaders in the kitchen and bath world. Well respected for her design work and ability to discern trends before they become main stream, she is frequently sought out for her savvy on what is new and what is next. A "go to" source for many and very supportive of her colleagues and their work.

We have had the good fortune of contracting the design team of Jamie Gold and Terry Smith for our kitchen and bathroom remodels. We wanted to do the work over a two year period and they were happy to accommodate our schedule. We recently finished phase one of the project and couldn't be happier with the results. Working with the cabinetry, hardware and flooring in the recently upgraded dining room, Ms. Gold was able to seamlessly integrate the existing "theme" with our concept for the kitchen and powder room. Her artistry and knowledge of the latest trends melded seamlessly, as she took our unusual color pallet (blue upper cabinetry) and sourced top quality, cutting edge materials to create an elegant, streamlined and highly functional space. Mr. Smith's turned a large but under functioning area into a serious home cook's delight. There's been a drastic reduction in prep and clean up time due to the efficiency of his design -- which even our friends have noticed. And when the inevitable changes needed to be made, they were done without fuss or drama. All the vendors were top quality and addressed any issues quickly and to our satisfaction. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ms. Gold and Mr. Smith to anyone considering a kitchen or bath remodel.

We worked with Jamie on designing the kitchen in a rebuild after a fire destroyed our home. She worked with us, and directly with our architect, to design a space that worked well for what we needed, with a minimum of direction (post-fire, in a flood of decisions, sometimes we didn’t have a clear picture of what we wanted to give people). When we had questions or concerns, she addressed them immediately, and helped us find and work through details with our cabinet maker. Given how overwhelming the experience was, it was so nice to have people you could trust working on getting you a design that really works for your life. We cook and have a small child, so the kitchen is crucial to us, and having lived in the home for 2 months now, I can say that it is extremely functional. Everything we need is at our fingertips. And it isn’t just that the design works – the kitchen is also gorgeous. We are in love with our new space, and so grateful for Jamie’s guidance in getting us there.

Jamie is a respected colleague. I was fortunate to be invited to collaborate with Jamie on two projects, the most recent one was just completed, we worked on a kitchen and study remodel in Woodland, Ca. Jamie is a pleasure to work with, she is knowledgeable, experienced and professional. We share the same respect and high level of responsibility and service towards our clients. Jamie shares her knowledge and experience through her blog and I rely on it and enjoy reading it whenever I feel like I need to know what is new and exciting in our industry.
