We met Kate in a creative platform for design where we collaborate on ideas about our industry. She's been a great asset - always putting forward her great ideas and helping the design community.

I am a part of an Interior Design community where I have had the pleasure to meet Kate. She has been an integral part of this community of interior designers. Her knowledge and passion for the profession comes through in all of our interactions. I am lucky to have met her. We recently completed a major renovation of our first floor which included a new kitchen/dining and powder room. We purchased a home in Lincoln Park, Chicago 3.5 years ago and saw great potential of opening the space up but needed some help getting that project executed. We generally knew the style that we were hoping for but were way out of our depth on this project as it called for walls to come down, major pluming changes and creating a completely different space. Kate Marengo with Interior Chicago came as a referral to us and as soon as I met her I knew she could get this project done for us and saw the vision. We had interviewed other design/build firms and they were outrageously expensive and wanted to go all out with the project which was more than our budget allowed and more than the space called for. Kate was a true professional, even when we weren't! She was calm, smart, well advised and clearly knew exactly what she was doing. She handled the drawings, space configuration, conversations with contractors/vendors, sourcing, ordering, designing, staging etc. Her pricing was very fair and reasonable. The project just completed and it is everything I had hoped for but could never have pulled off myself without her guidance, knowledge and expertise. I highly recommend Kate and Interior Chicago. We could not be more satisfied.

Kate is one of the hardest working and professional folks I have had the pleasure of working with. She has designed nearly 100 properties for me over the last year including my personal home. Her personal taste is impeccable, but she has the innate capability to adjust to suit her clients' needs and style. We got Kate in to design our new home. We wanted to use as much of our existing furniture as possible. Kate was wonderful to work with. She has great ideas, and is very intuitive about identifying her clients' style. She is very responsive, and really works with you on multiple iterations until you are 100% satisfied.
