I honestly can not thank JVB enough for the amazing job they did on my two storey extension. Joe not only understood my vision but was able to make it even better than I could have imagined. All the team who worked on the job were wonderful. Our neighbours really appreciated how polite, courteous, respectful and tidy they were and all commented on what a lovely team they were. Nothing was too much trouble and the project ran very smoothly. I would highly recommend JVB to anyone looking for building projects.

The project was a single storey extension to the rear of the house, extending the kitchen and replacing conservatory with a garden/play room. Joe and his team were good all the way through the project and when niggly things did arise they they were dealt with quickly. Would recommend using Joe and his team again.

Our first time doing a major piece of build work - a large extension, new windows put into the wall of our middle room, patio, landscaping, flooring and decoration etc. Joe and his team made it really easy - managing end-to-end and keeping us closely in touch with progress. Following our acceptance of a competitive quote JVB started with vigour on day one - and it stayed that way. Despite a few changes to spec (from us), the project delivered within a week of the target date. The finish is to a high quality and there were never any quibbles if ever anything wasn't 'right'. We stayed in the house during the works, and I particularly appreciated the attention to making this possible - from expert boarding up of affected areas, to a high standard in cleaning up at the end of the day. We're delighted with the outcome and the process to get here. We would unreservedly recommend JVB.

Joe and team did a fantastic job of our utility room extension. Friendly team, extremely professional and have finished the work to a very high standard. The aftercare shown has also gone above and beyond; when something went wrong months later, through no fault of theirs, they came and fixed it within the hour. Amazing and much appreciated.

Our project was a fairly structural extension along the entire length of the house, with a large new kitchen, additional electrical and plumbing works and external paving to our patio. We selected JVB from a list of 4 quotations. Joe was neither the most expensive nor the cheapest. He came with very good references within our village. The work started at the beginning of August and completed towards the end of October 2016. Our family (including children and cat) lived in the house throughout. (I am a former construction professional.) Time - Joe completed the work on time, including some additional scope items we had requested. His co-ordination of the various trades was great - no time lost waiting for them to turn up. Cost - We paid what Joe quoted. Any additional items were quoted for and agreed in advance. Payments were either weekly / biweekly, based on work packages complete. We are extremely happy at the value for money of JVB's work. Quality - this was the key to our selecting Joe, based on recommendations from previous clients. Joe employs a core staff of very competent builders, and those he subcontracts to are all excellent, from plumbers to painters. The major structural element of the job was completed with speed and confidence, and this quality extended throughout. The finished job was of an excellent standard, and Joe attended to the (very few) snags in very good time. Overall - excellent communications with Joe meant we knew what was going on and planned. In particular, he is open and honest, and absolutely trustworthy. The same extends to his staff, who made our stay in the house as pleasant as possible, and who humoured our young children into the bargain. In summary, we were extremely lucky to have selected Joe, and we'd wholeheartedly recommend him.

Having outgrown our three bedroom house (four children under the age of ten), we either had to move or extend. We opted to extend and once the plans were given the go ahead, went about finding a reliable builder. We had heard positive reports about JVB from others in our village and so we invited Joe to quote. He immediately struck us as someone who would want to do an excellent job from beginning to end and he did not let us down. To our minds this was quite a complex project involving a two storey extension, complete removal of a central chimney stack, relocation of stairs from the front of the house to the side, a new roof, plumbing and electrics - in short the end product is a completely new and larger house with only three external walls remaining from the original house. We were initially concerned that the project would be disruptive to our neighbours, one of whom shares the driveway and is elderly. However, we need not have worried as Joe and his team were always very polite and considerate. Given the nature of the project we experienced very few issues and the few we did have were resolved very quickly and to our complete satisfaction. We are now looking forward to many happy years in our new house thanks to the hard work and dedication of JVB Construction who we recommend wholeheartedly.

Our projected consisted of a first floor extension to the front of the house, filling in and extending the porch and front door area at the same time. It also included a major re-working of the kitchen, knocking two large rooms into one whilst also opening the rear wall to create one large glass door. The kitchen project required a lot of work including a substantial amount steelwork and close liaison with the glass door and kitchen suppliers. Throughout the whole project we found JVB to be superb! Communication was always very good, questions answered and explained promptly. The workforce was always very pleasant, respectful and diligent in their work. Due to the nature of our project we needed temporary kitchen facilities, JVB were incredibly accommodating and were able to provide this throughout the project. We are perfectly satisfied with the quality of work and would gladly recommend JVB to other people; we would certainly employ them again.

I contracted JVB to build a one-room extension on the side of the house. They always arrived early. They left the site very neat and tidy. What particularly impressed me was on the few occasions I had queries Joe was often in touch with me before I could contact him. The couple of issues that occurred during the build they dealt with very quickly and professionally. The quality of the finish was excellent. The neighbours were impressed with how little disruption was caused, particularly as another builder employed a few doors away were the complete opposite! No hesitation in recommending them.

Joe and his team are the most professional and polite team I have had the pleasure contracting with. From the very beginning Joe was professional and provided a very detailed quote with complete breakdown. He took the time to explain where the costs were in the build we wanted. His quote wasn't the cheapest from the four builders we had contacted but his workmanship was second to none. We are simply thrilled with the end result and would vouch for Joe's business time and time again. We had no swearing or bad language whilst on site and every member of the team was a pleasure to have around. I know these are little things but they count. The full extension including vaulted ceiling and Velux windows look great! We had bifolding doors across the back of the house including a brand new kitchen. It looks stunning! Thanks again Joe.

JVB Construction carried out a single storey extension and kitchen refit for us in 2016. From beginning to end our experience was positive. Joe was very helpful in the planning stage providing a detailed quote so we knew exactly what was involved. The workmen were a delight - so courteous, considerate, professional and tidy. Work was completed on schedule and to a high standard. We are very happy with the end result and would not hesitate to use the firm again.

We hired Joe and the team at JVB to undertake the refurbishment of our family bathroom. The work included stripping out the existing bathroom suite (we kept a period cast iron bath) and then all the walls and the floor were taken back. Whilst the floor was up the plumbing pipework was upgraded and the electrics upgraded (old period house) to meet modern standards. A new floor was put down and new under floor heating system put in place. The walls and ceiling were plastered skimmed and decorated. The shower area was carefully tiled to full height and the whole bathroom was decorated. The new bathroom suite, glass shower screen, tray, w/c, sink with vanity unit and the cast iron bath were fitted into the new positions. The workmanship and standard of the finish of the bathroom was so good, on time and to the pre-agreed budget that we immediately asked Joe and the team to complete the other bathroom in our house. I hired JVB Construction to build my garage in October 2015, the reason I hired JVB over the other companies is their professionalism and attention to detail. The programme for the works was four weeks, and even though they were hampered by torrential rain whilst trying to put in the foundations the job was finished on 4 weeks exactly. The teams on site were always very professional and very considerate to the fact that you are living at your house while they work. Every day the site was left clean and tidy. They dealt with alterations during the process, and me being a little bit fussy about how I wanted certain things. I can honestly say the build was faultless, and I have recommended JVB to two other friends and they have completed the work to the same very high standards. Even though it was a garage the build was beyond my expectations, highly recommended five star !
