Immersion Design

I met Megan a few years ago, and was taken by her enthusiasm and passion. Not settling on just custom design/build, she goes the extra mile to specialize in curved pieces. It took awhile, but I finally landed the perfect project to use her talents. A client wanted a round stone fireplace in his to be remodeled basement, with a large format mantel, curved to the same 6' diameter. I was excited to bring her into the project. After settling on the fireplace design, we decided on a 6" thick cherry mantel to match the cabinetry being crafted. I must say that Megan delivered a superior product, and on time. She crafted and installed a piece of high quality art that perfectly met the client's expectations, and possibly more importantly, mine. Well done Megan!

Megan worked on 4 different projects for one of my interior design clients. She was professional, knowledgeable and highly creative in providing solutions as well as the finished product. The quality of her work is excellent. Both my client and I couldn't be more pleased with her work, especially a custom designed entertainment center with a curved cabinet. In addition, she created 2 vanities, one of which was 9' long, as well as retro fitting a build-in that once housed a TV with new glass shelving, a mirrored back and lighting. Regardless of what we needed, Megan can up with the perfect solution. I highly recommend this very talented young lady!

Megan is an amazing artist. She designed two fabulous projects for me. From the start of design, she exhibited real product knowledge and expertise. She communicated through the entire project and delivered on time. She was able to create for me the vision I wanted. She really knew how to be in my listening and understand my vision. I moved from Minnesota to Virginia with precious black walnut boards which were cut down by my father from the farm. I was given the name of Immersion Design as a referral and Megan was wonderful!! I worked with her to custom design a hutch/media center. She listened to my ideas and incorporated her creativity to design a piece which is fabulous. It is a piece of furniture that will be treasured for generations.

We hired Megan to do a bar top for our basement bar. She was extremely professional and easy to work with throughout the planning and installation process. She even took me with her to the wood shop to pick out the specific pieces of wood I wanted to use. Our bar top is unique, high quality and extremely beautiful. Everyone who sees it is in awe. I highly recommend Megan's work!

Megan Troyer of Immersion Design has had a rare and unique vision for each piece that she has made for us. She has been able to take our needs and translate it into a piece of art with flow, color and graceful design. The latest piece is a TV stand designed specifically to hold all of our components for surround sound and music. She chose woods which coordinate with a DVD cabinet made for us several years ago. Megan gives the grain of the wood a flow not seen in most commercially made pieces, wrapping the grain around the sides and integrating the various shades of wood. She uses only hardwood, no particle board or synthetics, making a stronger and more beautiful unit. The Haefele hardware she uses works smoothly and adds to the beauty. The doors open and slide back nicely into the unit when the equipment is in use. We are more than pleased with her professional attitude and work and have recommended her highly to others for their needs.
