About Us

My best description of what I am capable of doing is looking at a room or a space and getting a complete vision of what it could look like. Then I put that vision on paper so you can see what I see in the future room, and then I make the vision a reality. Helping people step outside the box is always one of my goals, especially when working with someone who can't see anything other than beige, brown or cream.

Debbie is simply awesome!!. She did an update on my master bath (completed and totally in love with my shower) and a powder room (in processs). She really has a knack for listening to the client about style, colors, and budget and manages to truly deliver it all. I love everything she has done to date from sourcing the fixtures, to lighting, and furnishings. She is also aligned with crafts people who really deliver from demo to construction to the decorative touches. I would recommend her to anyone doing a design project as she will make you fall in love with your home again.

Debbie is very personable, thoughtful and wonderful to work with. She has a good eye and respects the needs of the particular clients, but also can help with ideas. I highly recommend Debbie for all household needs. I have used her for buying furniture and help with fabric to recover existing chairs

I hired House Dressing to help me redecorate my living room, dining room, family room, powder room and the breakfast area of my kitchen. Not only am I thrilled with the results, but working with Debbie was just so fun! She always gave me a variety of fabrics and furniture styles to choose from and helped me to see the great potential that already existed in my beautiful, but outdated home. I never would have made the choices that I did without Debbie encouraging me to push the envelope! She has a flair for color that I just love and I look forward to having her help me with all of my future projects.

I worked with Debbie to help decorate my great room and dining room. I found her to be very knowledgable, personable and professional. She was able to help me through the process by breaking down each step along the way. She would provide samples, pictures and fabrics throughout the design so that I was able to narrow down my personal style. She made many trips to my home to provide me with everything I needed to complete the project. She was extremely available to me throughout the design. Both rooms were painted, new carpets and area rugs purchased and my custom window treatments were gorgoeous. I am extrememly thrilled with the outcome. I could have never dreamed of such a final product! I will definely use her services again!!

Actually I hired Debbie to assist me in fabric selections as well as furniture pieces on two occasions. First time in 2007 then again in 2010. She was very helpful and conscious of my needs. She was able to stay within my budget constraints and delivered as promised. I had some ideas which she either confirmed or was able to assist me with changes. She had multiple providers at her disposal for both furniture, accessories and even referrals for painting and window treatments.

Debbie worked on a kitchen project for me. Since she is in OH, and I am in IL, this was done long-distance. She provided me with swatches of fabric for my chairs, and suggested they be made with a complimentary fabric on the flip side. When the base for the table arrived and there was damage in shipping, Debbie was quick to handle the exchange and resolve the problem with the shipper. In no time the new base arrived. Everything looks great, and the table, chairs and cushions were (and still are) a great addition to my kitchen.
