This time last year we were struggling to keep our house warm. Fuel prices rose so high and so suddenly and it was costing us so much money! We decided 2023 would be the year that we would invest in our window dressings so that we would have a long-term, sustainable plan to keep our house warm regardless of fluctuating electricity prices. We live in an old Victorian house with original single-glazed windows and drafty floors so we contacted Hillarys to ask for advice as to which are the best products to keep our home warm. We were recommended black-out linings on our new curtains (apparently these are actually more efficient than "thermal" and keep the light out) and we invested in new clip-on INTU blinds on our kitchen bifold doors, which trap the heat in a clever little honeycomb design. They have made SUCH A DIFFERENCE. It's nearly November and we still haven't had to put the heating on! If you knew our house, you would be shocked by this as it is always so chilly (last year we put the heating on at the end of August!!!) Can't recommend enough. And the windows look so much better for new curtains. I love my green geometric ones the best!

Excellent from start to finish. Informative and efficient consultation and less that 3 weeks later they were installed. We had blinds on our bifold doors which was mess free and very quick! Our representative from Hillarys was very polite and he did an amazing job. Couldn’t recommend more!!

Damaged blinds, awaited a maintenance and the replacement blinds also damaged, awaited another month and the same blind again damaged. Now awaiting a refund 30 days and counting.

The blinds were fitted today no problems with the fitter.on the other hand the blinds themselves were completely rubbish. The larger blind was mostly too long and flapped over the sill. The smaller blind was not parallel with the sill. All in all not a satisfactory job . Please send out a person to do an assessment or collect. There will be some damage to window frame to be made good. I wouldn’t expect to pay for a substandard job like this.

Spent £5,600 on Richmond hardwood painted shutters for 2 bay windows and one smaller window. Waited 3 months for these 'custom made' shutters. Problems noted almost straight away. The slatts do not close properly, springing open after closing, big gaps around casements, some slatts warped and do not close properly, large gaps at the top and bottom of the casements. There are big gaps between the edge of the slatts and the casements showing the supporting rods for the slatts. The fitter returned in February 2023 to make adjustments but was unsuccessful and told us that the panels were not properly made and that we should contact Hillarys to get them remade/replaced. This we have done, but been met by a total brick wall. Fitter visited again in June and re-itersted that the panels were poorly made. Having sent them some 20 pictures of the incredible light leakage and faults with the shutters they state that they cannot manufacture them any better. They are simply not fit for purpose and look a total mess with light penetration in the lighter early morning. In my view these are a complete waste of money. I cannot recommend their quality or Hillarys attitude and customer service. Iwould suggest that potential customers think twice before parting with money to Hillarys. Will be taking this up with the small claims court. I totally reject the shutters.

We have been struggling for years to find the right solution for blinds in our bedrooms to work with our tilt and turn windows. So when we heard Hillary's have a clip system that fits in to the profile of the window, we were intrigued to see would it work for our type of windows. We arranged a consultation with Hillary's local representative Alan and he couldn't have been more helpful. He confirmed they would work with our window type and we opted for the Thermashade blackout blinds for each bedroom to coordinate with our interiors. Alan recommended fitting the blinds in the cafe style pulling up from the bottom, giving privacy without the loss of light. The blinds were ready within four weeks and Alan arranged a time to come back and install them. He did a fantastic job as our sloped window wasn't an easy install and he painstakingly made sure he had them just right before finishing. The cafe suggestion was genius and we love the fact we can be in the rooms still having light but without being overlooked. The Thermashade lining definitely helps to keep the rooms warmer. Hillary's, and in particular Alan - we love the blinds, thank you so much for finally solving our blind problem and so perfectly! We were really impressed with such an easy, convenient and excellent service.

Hillarys local representative was excellent. They called out to our space (made to measure in home service) with every sample under the sun to measure and guide us in choosing the right type of blinds and fabric for our space. They were very quick to send us a quote and start the process. They were fitted on time and the fitter was meticulous in showing me how to use the motorised blinds and how to charge them. He also gave us a device so that we can control them from our phone. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend them!

Clinton Szparaga was very professional at measuring and showing me samples-taking time to advise me when I asked questions, very informative. A few weeks after, Clinton eventually put-up my new blinds for the living room. He done a brilliant job, I am very happy with my new blinds. Clinton even cleared up, after. I would recommend him to my friends and family.
