About Us

Jill Ballew is a Window Covering specialist, who holds 25 years experience. She attended Berry College and WKU pursing a Family and Consumer Science degree. Starting out as a drapery workroom, Jill now is able to design soft treatments with confidence, understanding the engineering that is needed in each design. High Country Designs also reps Hunter Douglas and Kirsch hard treatments. Custom bedding is also available to her clients. HCD is now selling Madico window film. This adds a protective layer to the window in order to block out UV rays that cause damage to soft window treatments, furniture and flooring.

Jill and her team from High Country Designs were a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her services! She listened to me, reinforced my ideas and assured me that my fabric selections were on point. Her knowledge of the current trends and suggestions for window treatments updated my existing furniture and gave my rooms a new look that I am very happy with! We renovated a home built in 1900 and with Jill’s expertise, we brought it up to the 20th century while still maintaining the integrity of this old home. Thanks a million Jill!

Jill was very professional, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. The company she worked with to make , measure, and install the shutters was also professional, friendly, and has great customer service, warranty, and work quality. We have always wanted plantation shutters, and Jill made it happen for us to meet our budget and timing. We highly recommend her services.

I was glad to find Jill. I had a new house and plenty of windows. It seemed nobody could provide what I wanted. Everting was off the shelf and no custom work. If you want something special go to High Country Designs. Very professional and capable. Gave me a good price. Work done timely.

High Country did an amazing job on my plantation shutters! Jill has an incredible eye for design and decor. She came to my home within just a couple of days after I called to measure and the install was quick and efficient. Excellent customer service, expert advice and affordable.
