We have just recently completed building a house with Bayless Custom Homes. What a great experience! You will have to look very hard to find 2 better people to work with than Gary and Joe. The process: These guys have done this so many times. They were a tremendous help in guiding us through the entire process of design and build. Make no mistake – it is a lot of work and many decisions have to be made, but their knowledge and approach were great. The quality: We could not be more pleased with the quality of the house that they built. They are very particular about their sub-contractors and then are persistent to stay on top of things to make sure they are done right. They are all about getting things right, not about cutting corners. The people: Gary and Joe are great to the core. Their enthusiasm and passion are energizing. They are well connected in the city of Tyler, which can come in handy at times. But most of all it was an absolute pleasure working with these 2 men who ALWAYS operate with the highest integrity. Yes, they were our builders…but, through the project they also became great friends. If you are considering building a new home, we would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Bayless Custom Homes.

Clint came to our aid at a time when we were in the final stages of dealing with a contractor that abused our trust and left us wondering if we'd ever see our project done. Clint stood out as a reassuring voice of genuine concern and quickly won us over with his professionalism, responsiveness, attention to detail, and willingness to listen. He also went above and beyond to ensure we received the best possible bids from each subcontractor we worked with and that those contractors, in turn, delivered the highest quality work. Above all, we appreciated Clint's honesty, integrity and transparency, when it came to estimates, invoices, budgets, etc. It was a pleasant surprise (and relief) to see receipts and invoices attached to each weekly draw request, which made it easy to understand where our money was going. Our bathroom, office and closet additions could not have turned out any better, no doubt because of Clint’s efforts and dedication. We would not hesitate to recommend Clint for remodeling work and he’d be the first contractor we’d reach out to if we ever found ourselves building a new home.

Bayless Custom homes just turned over the keys to our new guest house and my husband and I couldn't be happier with the results! Gary, Clint and Joe plus their contractors were very skilled and knowledgeable about every detail. Gary, especially was on call anytime of the day or night to respond to any questions or worry we had about the house. He always answered us in that calm voice of his that said, “everything will be OK! Dont worry!” So we didn't worry and yes everything turned out just fine, but even more than just fine, the house became all we had ever imagined it to be!

Gary built our dream home which became his 2015 Parade entry. From the beginning, the drawing of the plans, he was involved in every phase of the construction. He was very professional throughout the process and gave us multiple options for suppliers. His subcontractors were top notch and always available to meet with us. This was crucial as we were living in the DFW area while building this home. Many of our meetings took place after hours and on weekends. Gary keep in touch on a daily basis by either phone, text or email. He always supplied pictures to keep us in touch with the progress. Additionally, he would send any pictures we requested. We found Gary to be honest and dedicated to our needs/wants. There were numerous examples of how he made a difference as we had to perservere through the rains and products being held up in Los Angeles harbor due to a strike. Gary's faith in God had a stabilizing effect during the trials of building. At the conclusion of this process we are proud not only to recommend Gary Bayless to anyone that needs a quality home built. But we are prouder to now call Gary our friend. Gary Bayless is a top rate builder -- but don't take our word for it -- he's been named Best Builder in East Texas multiple years. It was especially important for us to find a dependable, quality builder since we were living in a different state the entire time our house was being built. Gary sent us pictures and called us almost every day with an update on our house. When we were in town, he escorted us to various vendors to make all the selections that go into finishing a home. We love our home. There are many special touches that Gary, his son Clint, and all the sub-contractors put into giving it the traditional, but relaxed feel that has everyone notices when they walk through the door - in fact, "serene" is the word most often used. The professionals at Bayless Custom Homes, Inc., expertly remodeled & modernized my family's kitchen, dining room, breakfast nook, living room, reading room, foyer & hallway. The worked performed by Gary Bayless and his team of skilled tradesmen was of the highest caliber. His crew leveled-up the sunroom floor with concrete and converted it to a beautiful reading room w/beveled glass doors, grand tiling & handsome trim work. In other areas, shabby carpet was replaced by modern floor tile; the old fireplace was converted into a high-efficiency heating unit and aged doors & windows were replaced w/beautiful energy-saving entryways & casements. New fixtures & appliances were installed throughout (remote-control ceiling fans, recessed lighting, modern oven, flat stovetop, washer/dryer, sinks, & more). The electrical & plumbing portions were done efficiently and with great care. The cabinetry, carpentry, trim work, painting and mantel craftsmanship were superior. A remodel investment of $50K turned into a $20K windfall as the house soon sold with an increased value of $70K. As a friend of Gary’s for over 30-years, I was well aware of his local appeal and outstanding reputation. But this time, my family & I got to experience his construction & design expertise firsthand.
