Collaborated with Gardiner Architects on an extension/renovation in Brunswick. It became very clear throughout the process that attention to detail is of paramount importance to GA. Their level of detail is prevalent not only in their design, but also in their coordination of the construction project as a whole. As a builder, GA were a pleasure and we look forward to working in cohesion in future projects.

We asked Paul and Amelda if they could help with a new en-suite to our house in Fairfield. As things evolved it went from a new ensuite to total revamp/redesign of the existing house. We really liked the ideas and designs they put forward and we had no hesitation going ahead with the project as we knew we were in good hands. At all times, we found Amelda and Paul to be terrific to deal with. They skilfully and pleasantly managed our project from beginning to end. This actually enabled us to really enjoy the whole process. We are really pleased with all the works undertaken and would recommend Amelda and Paul highly. This was our first experience of renovation and using an architect. Our family of 5 now have a home that has exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, aesthetic and function. Paul and his team listened to what we were hoping to achieve and after many hours of robust discussion produced a design we loved. There were some problems with our builder along the way which we were professionally guided and supported through. We would highly recommend Paul and his exceptional staff.

We have twice used Gardiner architects for the renovation of our home, and have been very happy with the results both times. Our home is flooded with natural light, and is a joy to live in. Every space has been thought out and our family of six is very happy in the relatively small footprint with enough shared and private spaces to keep everyone happy. We enjoyed the process of working with both Paul and Mel and would happily recommend them.

Our brief to Gardiner Architects was to revive a tired double fronted weatherboard in a great Northcote location and bring the old house into the 21st century and beyond. From the start, the highest professional standards were provided by both senior and junior architects always being attentive to our requirements but often ready to offer their views as alternatives. The whole building process went to plan and Gardiner Architects supervised the Building Contract acting as Contract Manager between the Owners and the Builder on a highly competent basis. When a building defect issue was raised upon completeion, the senior architect was more than happy to attend and ensure the builder attended to the rectification works in accordance with the Building Contract. We have nothing but the highest praise for the service and work undertaken by Gardiner Architects from start to finish and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the services of this firm.

Amanda Berkley and Paul Gardiner were wonderful to work with. Drawing on years of experience and knowledge, they were able realise our dream kitchen/living space and included all the elements we love. Their 'can do' attitude meant we were able to incorporate natural materials like iron bark and rubber and other timbers with durable substitutes such as Caesarstone in the most aesthetically balanced and flowing way. They were able to solve problems easily and efficiently and instilled complete confidence in us, every step of the way. They kept the project moving and met all the deadlines until completion. They always made themselves available and no question was ever too small to answer. Amelda did an incredible job sourcing supplies: lighting, tiles, joinery finishes and tapware. We have a beautiful designer light which is a focal point of our living space thanks to Amelda's sourcing. All our renovation goals were fulfilled. Our kitchen/living space is light filled, has good storage, plenty of bench space and has a beautiful, comfortable feel. We spend the majority of our time in this space when at home. The guidance and ongoing collaboration shown by our architects enabled us to get exactly what we wanted.

Worked with Paul and Mel on a partial redesign of our house - a knock down of the back portion and a rebuild to transform a small 1880s worker's terrace into a modern light filled, stylish and spacious 21st century home. The pair exceeded expectations on the design: they took all our 'nice to haves' and added them in with the 'must haves'. I feel they truly understood our vision from the outset, so that what we ended up with is simply perfect.
