Forno Piombo

The best customer service I have ever had buying any products bar none. I have looked at a lot of ovens from all over the world. Their ovens are the best builded on the market. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Tony and his farther again.

Here is my story about purchasing a new wood oven from Forno Piombo I have been researching wood ovens since the summer of 2014. I have spoken to masons, stone suppliers, restaurants, along with US, Italian and French oven suppliers. I scanned all the blogs for references and insights. After all the background work, in April of 2017 I placed an order for a 36 inch Forno Piombo wood oven. The bottom line for me was the cost, quality workmanship and superb customer service. I must add that for the nine months prior to the purchase I either emailed or called Tony Piombo about 47 times. Not once ( well...maybe almost once ) did he ever tire of my questions or lose his patience. He was with me for the entire process from ordering to shipping to placement and everything in between. On Father’s Day 2017 we baked out initial offering of pizza and bread to the great delight of my children and grandchildren. A memorable day indeed! But wait......it doesn’t stop there. As part of the shipping from California to upstate New York there was some slight damage done by the trucking company. I assumed there would be an insurance claim and I would try and find someone to remedy the flaws. To my wife’s and my astonishment and everlasting gratitude,Tony’s father, Guy Piombo, flew cross country with his bag of tools and showed up on Sunday morning a week later. After four hours of work and a primer on wood oven cooking, he jetted back to California. The cost to us was three cups of coffee ( Note: he took a red eye flight ) and a turkey sandwich for the trip home. Here’s the best part. When I asked him why he flew 3000 miles to deal with a customer issue, his paraphrased response went something like this....... “ Not only is it an adventure but my son and I realize the impact these wood ovens have on family and friends. It brings people together. The oven creates happiness for them as an important social centerpiece. We feel good that in some small way we play an important part in creating and sustaining that family happiness” A really good guy, a great product, and a great business.

We love our FP oven! It is authentic and high quality. The Piombo family is wonderful. They encourage you to call with any questions as often as you need because they want you to enjoy your oven. They do not sell you the oven and then walk away. Our installation was very difficult as it needed to be installed down a hill. They actually built a temporary ramp, slid it down and got it in place. It was an amazing feat.

We love our oven! Last year, when it was being installed at our home, it fell down a mountain and the outside part tore to pieces. We sent pictures to FP, and they not only came to our rescue, but they even upgraded it with the mosaics and the work they did on it, so now we have a much more beautiful oven than the one we originally purchased. We have no words to express our appreciation and gratitude for fixing our Forno Piombo! We still cannot believe that you flew all the way from Napa Valley to Puerto Rico to help us…this is much more than amazing customer service! And after seeing you work in our oven, with so much dedication and passion, we can truly say that Forno Piombo’s are the best! Not only because they are made strong and resistant, but because they are guaranteed by you and your amazing family and team! We are so excited and proud to own a FP! But most of all, we are so happy to have met all of you. And needless to say, the food that we make in this oven is as amazing as our story with FP!

Tony and his father have been so kind, ultra-responsive and helpful as we have launched our pizza patio at our hotel in Panama, Central America. Our oven is a pure work of art and draws so many wonderful comments from our guests and visitors alike. The oven is a workhorse and has not given us any problems to date, nor do we expect any. I highly recommend Forno Piombo!!!

I was very pleased with all my dealings with Tony Piombo and his dad. There professionalism and knowledge meet the highest standards. I have had another brand of pizza oven in the past but feel that this one is better and can't imagine any other oven being superior to this one from Piombo. I have used it at least 25 times the first season and the quality of the pizzas are amazing. Have also cooked fish, steak leg of lamb among other foods with great success.
