Beth provided a design consultation that was an incredibily helpful and fun experience. Together we walked through my home, focusing on my priority areas, and discussed my vision, space challenges, and initial ideas for layouts, paint, and furnishings. I loved seeing Beth in her element, calling out unique aspects of my home, stepping back to think through an idea or challenge, taking measurements, rolling up her sleeves and asking if we could move furnishings around to see how they worked in the spaces, and making immediate adjustments I would have never thought of but had big impact. I ended the session with a handful of design guidelines to keep in mind and several pages of notes on paint colors, layouts, furniture and lighting options, and several styling suggestions that remain in my home today. I then engaged Beth to help me design my master bedroom; with an eye on my budget and desire to do much of it myself when I had capacity, she helped me pull together the final design and a set of next steps to bring it to life. Whether it is a design consultation or a partner for more robust design services, Beth delivers value, integrity in her business practices, and one of a kind designs. I look forward to a couple bigger projects with Beth and Eclectic Designs in the future.

I have been working with Beth for over a year. I initially engaged her to help me finalize selections for a quartz counter in my primary bathroom and wool carpet for the stairs and upper level in my townhouse. I was hopelessly locked up trying to make a choice. Beth came in and very quickly helped me choose the right materials to pull everything together. The results are fabulous! I have subsequently been working with Beth using her DIY design consultation package to make updates to my kitchen, dining room, and living room. She really listened to my vision for my house and then made creative suggestions to help me bring that vision to life. Working with Beth was a true collaboration. She took the time to listen to both my wife and I myself as well as assessing our existing style. She was able to synthesize that information into a game plan that everyone was genuinely excited about. In addition to helping develop our design plan she spent time evaluating our existing art collection and aesthetic, repurposing many of our pieces elevating them in ways we wouldn't have imagined on our own. Beth's eye for design identified the elements we gravitated towards and pulled them together into a sophisticated and livable plan.

I am so glad Beth came to our home for a 90-minute walk-though consultation. She had so many great ideas and gave us a written report about a week later, so we have a "roadmap" to accomplish the look we want. We are having so much fun shopping for the items she recommended and already our home looks and feels better. Beth is friendly, professional, and very talented. She helped us with a full kitchen & master bath remodel + overall refresh of the entire home - new floors, paint, lighting, railings, furnishings, etc! I was preping to sell my house at Talus. Even though I’ve done this multiple times, I wasn’t confident that the money I was spending for repairs and repainting were being well spent and that the house would turn out well. I reached out to Beth and OMG that was the best decision I’ve made for the house. Even in this pandemic, she made herself available to come out, took time to understand the house and my needs, and proposed recommendation that put everything I was struggling with in harmony from interior/exterior paint colors, staging ideas, lighting fixture recommendation, etc. Spending the same budget I was spending but following all of her recommendation changed the game. The house turned out to impress all the realtors and open house visitors, and attracted top offers ever received in the neighborhood. What I was also impressed was her modest fee schedule - Beth only charged for her consultation hours. This was the best spending out of all expenses on the house. I recommended all of my friends and family to talk to her even for an hour before you do any work for your house. She will make every penny you spend worth a dollar. I will definitely work with Beth again for future design work.

I have had Beth help me with a major remodel about five years ago so I called in her recently to help change things up without doing a major overhaul. During the pandemic, I felt as though my living room needed a pick me up- we just weren’t feeling happy in the space. I contacted Beth and we started the process of changing things up via FaceTime and phone consults, texts and photos. I was amazed how much we could do this way. She was able to help me rearrange and purchase furniture, art and accessories all virtually. It was an amazing transformation in how we felt in the space which was exactly what we were looking for. Beth made the virtual experience feel as personal as it did the first time she helped me years ago!

Beth is AMAZING! She was able to transform our master bedroom into a stunning, peaceful retreat - remotely; without physically seeing our space! Through the use of the personal Houzz file which she created for us and FaceTime chats, she helped us select the perfect wall color that would compliment our seasonal bedding, choose lamp shades to update our bedside tables, and recommend a sleek, efficient ceiling fan (that looks more like a piece of art) to complete the room. We love how it turned out! She listened to what we wanted, her attention to detail is spot on and her design style is easy going and on target! We will definitely work with Beth again on future projects!

From start-to-finish, Beth is a real pro! She listens carefully and offers advice on everything from easy rearrangements to tie in patters, textures, color and light to rethinking materials, paint and lighting. Beth Banks and I have collaborated on the photography for two of her design projects. On both occasions I’ve found Beth to be extremely kind, professional, and creative. She asks great questions, offers up inventive solutions, notices the details, listens to my creative point of view, and works tirelessly and patiently throughout the collaborative process. She is a real pleasure to work with! And I always come away from our photo shoots with new knowledge about interior design, which I consider to be invaluable.

I engaged Beth in June of 2019 for a design consultation for decorating my new 2BR, 2BA apartment in downtown Seattle. Beth and I spent about 2 hours going through the apartment as she provided excellent, creative ideas for furniture, lamps and wall decorations to buy/display as well as room configurations. It was an efficient, enjoyable couple of hours, and I felt I received great value from Beth and her expert input.

Beth helped us purchase furniture for a new construction vacation home. She nailed our style and hit a home run with our furniture. She nudged us to make some great decisions on amazing custom pieces. She worked within our budget, provided weekly updates and provided suggestions to style our room with items easily available. Not only is she a great design partner, Beth is a delightful person. Highly recommend.

After a good experience with a paint consultation, we hired Beth for the design of a full kitchen remodel. The primary challenge was how to open up a galley kitchen to the living and dining areas when the wall provided support to a pass-through beam spanning the width of the house. Rather than design around a support post, Beth’s solution was to keep half of the wall and extend a tongue of granite outward from there, for a pseudo-island effect. This accomplished several things. It gave us more cabinet space (floor to ceiling), it allowed us to retain the entryway coat closet, and it still opened up the kitchen to the dining and living areas. Rather than a standard island, Beth came up with something much more unique and useful to us. Once that was solved, and after working closely with us on the particular features we wanted (a pantry, for instance), she set to work on her drawings, using as a starting point some inspiration photos we gave her and then personalizing, improving, and tailoring them to our space. Her drawings were so detailed and accurate that our contractors used them verbatim. Her design showed a great sense of harmony, with elements like floating shelves to achieve balance. Details like a tufted leather seat back on a corner bench, creative use of different tile shapes and a full wall of tile behind the sink area, and dramatic use of not just standard cabinet lighting but open box ambient lighting up by the sloped ceiling are just a few of the things we love but would never have thought of ourselves. Beth labored long and hard over our project, going above and beyond to create the best possible space for us, and we can’t say enough good things about her. All of her material choices, paint, tile, cabinet and granite, are perfect complements to each other. We would hire her again in a heartbeat.

I have been working with Beth for over a year now. She is wonderful on so many levels. We hired Beth to help with a design layout for our kitchen, dining and living room remodel. The project involved removing walls and opening up the space to create more of a great room concept. She quickly came up with good ideas during our initial consultation that we hadn’t even considered possible. Her conceptual design drawings were the key to helping us get a clear picture of what we could do with our space. Beth understood the design esthetic we were hoping to achieve right away and provided us with great options through our shared Houzz boards throughout her sketching process. We start our project in March 2018 and feel confident that Beth’s designs will turn into a beautiful, unique and functional living space for us. Beth with Eclectic Designs helped me select an exterior color scheme for my house, from the color of the new roof down to the color of the front door. I had struggled over making color decisions for months and Beth helped me narrow everything down in an hour. She was very knowledgeable about why each color would or would not work with the overall design and appearance of my house. Plus she was great and easy to work with. I just wish I had called her months ago! I highly recommend her services.

Beth is great! She helped us decorate our kitchen, a great room, and our entryway. Our project included painting, new furniture, new lighting and a new kitchen back splash. One thing I really appreciated about Beth was the first time we met she took the time to really listen to what we wanted to accomplish. She asked a lot of questions and remembered all of our likes and dislikes. She had a clear vision from the start that followed all the way through and really brought everything together for a wonderful completed project. My husband and I hired Eclectic Designs to help with various stages of a home remodel project. We had plans to move a master suite and office into an existing mother-in-law unit, and to update an entryway/mudroom, but were getting stuck with some of the details. After having talked with several other designers and not finding the insight we were looking for, we found Beth/Eclectic Designs through Houzz and set up a "working consultation" with her. We knew she was right for us immediately. She had specific and helpful ideas and solutions from the outset, so we hired her to do a detailed work-up of the space and then later, to choose paint, fabric, lighting, and other design details. She provided us with CAD drawings and 3D images, presented design boards, created a personalized Houzz ideabook for us, and selected and presented materials samples for us to choose from. She is lovely to work with - professional, customer-oriented, and adaptable to her client's needs, preferences, and their specific design styles. I will definitely hire her again as our project develops and highly recommend Eclectic Designs!

Beth Banks consulted on paint color in my entry, living room and kitchen. She was confident, well educated very professional and extremely easy to work with. She also staged these areas after the painting was complete and gave other interior design suggestions.

My husband and I could not agree on how to design our living room. We hired Eclectic Designs to assist us. Our designer, Beth was able to blend both of our styles by identifying what we really wanted, then she came up with a design we both loved using a combination of new items to mix with what we already had. The process was easy and the weekly communication during our project was extremely helpful. All work was done on time, budgets were kept, and the end result was fantastic! We spend all our time in our living room enjoying the space and our family. Eclectic Designs also does styling and we plan to use them for this feature alone multiple times a year. Very excited to use this company again and again!

Beth brought many ideas that I had not considered, such as painting the high ceiling darker to make the room more to scale and inviting. She worked with pieces that I already owned and re-purposed many that I had not intended to reuse. She respected that I like to do some things on my own and gave me suggestions on places to shop and what items to look for. Most importantly, she didn't just come to my home and talk about ideas, she jumped right in and started moving furniture around and removing and adding things. I saw my room literally begin to transform within the first hour of meeting with her.

Eclectic Designs did an amazing job on our living room. We had a budget that was always considered and the project was completed early. We had never hired a designer prior and found it to be a pleasant experience. Prior to the design work, most of our family did not choose to hangout in the living room. After the project completed, our family has found ourselves enjoying the room all of the time. It now provides a warm and comfortable environment to relax and enjoy our family time.

I used eclectic designs for my wedding and would recommend Beth Banks for any project that you have. I got married on a farm and wanted a rustic theme. I let Beth take off with it and she did an outstanding job. She went above and beyond any expectations I had. Her passion for what she does overpowered her crazy long day that she had setting up on wedding day, let alone preparing for months on her own time even though she has a busy family life of 3 kids and a husband.
