Wood Duck Pools & Patios

We are very happy with our new pool by Wood Duck. Duane was extremely responsive from the beginning to the end of the project. He worked closely with us to get exactly the pool we wanted within our budget. The entire project was completed in 2 months. We have neighbors and friends approaching a year or more, and their pools are no done. The finished product is both beautiful and has the latest pool technology. Highly recommend Wood Duck Pools.

We love our pool. Our project was highly customized with an oversized infinity edge. Duane and his people did a great job on a complicated project. Duane is trustworthy and does what he says. I recommend Wood Duck Pools to anyone.

I am not one to normally go on and review services that I have done but in this case I felt it was necessary to share because of the great job that Wood Duck Pools did. I have nothing but good things to say about Wood Duck Pools and Duane. They provided great quality work, were responsive and kept a close eye on the entire project, and worked very quickly and efficiently. There was little to no downtime in between next steps. Altogether, start to finish in under 2 months! We are fully satisfied with out pool. Thank you Duane and Wood Pools! If you are building a pool in the central to south Texas area Duane and wood duck pools needs to be your builder, you won't be disappointed.

Totally agreed with all the positives comments. It has been the best experience I have had purchasing, buying or ordering anything here in San Antonio. After consulting with over 10 Pool Companies, I had no doubt that Duane, Wood Duck Pools & Spas was the best choice for making my pool a reality. From start to finish the experience was truly exceptional, from the clear and concise communication to the patience Duane and his team had answering all of our questions. He projected 4 to 5 months, however, the entire pool building process took 57 days. He had someone working on the pool every day. The team was highly experienced and extremely professional. They also installed the removable fence to keep the granddaughter away. The quality of services and professionalism are truly unmatched! I highly recommend him.

Highly recommend Duane and Wood Duck Pools. I had a great experience working with Duane and have the pool I’ve always wanted. Everything was completed on time and Duane was on site and very responsive. I still reach out to him when I have questions and always get a quick response back. Absolutely LOVE my pool and landscaping!

We contracted Wood Duck Pools to design and build a pool that was unique, met our needs, and complied with HOA requirements. At the same time at least three couples we knew were doing the same thing. Not only is our pool AMAZING, it is superior quality with flow rates that even Pentair commented could only come from 1st class plumbing installation. Ours was the only pool of the four couples that was done on time, exceeded our expectations, and has had no problems with plaster, tile, or decking. Duane was present, courteous, and always on time. He worked with us to find the right tiles/coping/water feature backdrop, even to the extent of bringing samples multiple times. Wood Duck did our pool in Summer 2020 when pools were taking forever to complete because of supply-chain and subcontractor issues. Because of Duane's upfront honesty and transparency, we did not have any problems and would recommend Wood Duck without hesitation to anyone who wants a high quality, beautiful pool/spa.

Duane and his crew are the best. From start to finish Duane is constantly involved and making sure that the project is on time and on budget. We just completed our first pool ever with Duane and it came out absolutely breathtaking!! We wanted to give Duane 5 Stars...... Our initial experiences were awesome! Duane was punctual, attentive, and thorough. Things began to turn when our plaster was completed as it was damaged by the installers who used a different brand of acid wash due to supply chain shortages. We'd agreed to wait for replacement until our SAWS sewer bill was calculated, but we'd paid him in full. While the plaster was ultimately replaced, it was still flawed. Duane has now stopped communicating with us and hasn't responded to issues. Ultimately we had to get the heater repaired on our own, had a leak detection company find and address some issues, and had the air blower replaced. We've made Duane aware of electrical problems related to the blower, a faulty Auto-fill, and the plaster issues, but have received no responses. We now have a crack in our plaster, which may be leaking to the outside. We'll likely need to hire an attorney to get our issues addressed. Our experiences started off so positive, but unfortunately, we cannot recommend Duane or Wood Duck.

As first time pool buyers, we interviewed several pool builders and Duane at Wood Duck Pool and Patio was our choice for many reasons. First of all, he is an honest and down to earth person who takes pride in his company and the work that they do. At no point did he sound like a salesperson, but someone who genuinely wanted to meet our needs and include everything that he could within our budget. The end product was much more than any other company would have done for the same price. He is very professional and knowledgeable and answered every single question we had and put all of our concerns to rest by educating us along the way. He was present throughout the entire process and had a great rapport with his in-house crew, which was awesome to see. The materials and equipment he uses is top of the line and there were no hidden fees to worry about as he was upfront about the cost of everything. He even talked us out of some ideas we had as he felt like the items would be a waste of money. His goal is to establish great relationships with his customers and provide a high quality end product so that they will be back for future projects to add to their backyard oasis. We highly recommend Wood Duck Pool and Patio and will definitely be back for future projects. We have no regrets at all...we absolutely LOVE our spool, water wall, built in benches and decking. Lastly, we are truly blessed to have met a really good guy in Duane. In addition to our spool, Wood Duck Pool and Patio did a beautiful job on our landscaping around our spool, restructuring our sprinkler system to water the new grass they installed, and corrected areas of standing water by digging a trench and making a rock riverbed to carry the rain water out into the greenbelt behind our property.

Bad quality materials. Never respond Phone and never have time to resolve the mistakes. I will never again recommended him.

We interviewed 7 pool companies before we met with Duane and we are so glad we did. He was highly recommended by a neighbor in our subdivision. He came to our house and took his time listening to our ideas and then gave us options. After our first meeting he came back and we discussed how to makes some changes to stay within our budget, but NOT take short cuts on structure. The main reason we went with him is that he is the owner, the sales team, the project manager, and is a one stop shop. All the other companies had sales teams that sit in your house, listen to your ideas, and then pass a sheet of paper off to a project manager that you have never met, they also would need to sub everything but the pool to another company which then turns into another meeting with that company. Duane was there EVERYDAY to ensure the project was on track, he even came some days that no work was being done just to look the project over and make suggestions. He made minor changes for us during the project and ensure the project was completed when he said it would be. We are totally satisfied with his finished product and I have hired him to clean my pool. You will not be disappointed by his professionalism or his work ethic, we highly recommend to complete your project no matter how small it may be, at minimum get an estimate.
