Diane's imaginative design to convert an existing guest bedroom into a master bathroom was really the catalyst for us to complete an amazing project. Her incredible attention to dimension and detail, thoughtfulness about practical use and sense of color and flow resulted in a stunning bathroom which both the contractor and I love. She is easy to work with, listens carefully, and got us to think out of the box.

Diane helped us with interior design and project managing renovations for a historic mid-century property we purchased last summer. From the very beginning, she was professional, listened intently to our preferences and needs and incorporated them successfully in her final recommendations and design. Moreover, she worked well with the preservation society we had to convince on certain changes we wanted to make. In particular, her design and execution of our new hall bathroom has received so many compliments! We highly recommend Diane for any design project you have. She is wonderful to work with.

This review is long overdue, I want to share how much I appreciated working Diane her home remodeling projects as an Architect and Builder while she lived in Berkeley, CA. Diane flew into our community looking for a green builder. I was at the end of a major green remodel of my own home and was happy to meet a potential client with the enthusiasm and experience in green building that you already had. My firm has specialized in remodeling in Berkeley for the last 30 years I have worked with many clients of varying understanding and abilities when it comes to design and construction. Working with Diane was like having another professional staff member on my team. Diane's knowledge and experience in remodeling and her sense of design and color made my job easier and added a great deal to the success of the entire project. It was a testament to the success of the project and Diane's design and management abilities that led her home to receive the “Peoples’ Choice” award for the Build it Green, Green Home tour in 2005. This award was given even when Phase 2 of the project was still in the rough framing stage. After the project was complete Diane even consulted regarding colors for another client of mine in the neighborhood. I would love to have followed Diane on to her next project. I wish Diane success her future projects and highly recommend her as a design and construction professional. Diane's organizational skills, creative design ideas, and clear, calm communication style make her a great choice for design and management of construction projects.

Architects 2, Newton, Ma, hired DBID for our 9 unit housing project. We are extremely pleased with her input & execution. There will be a good integration of design theme from the exterior and, thanks to her design skills, right on thru the interior spaces. Diane is a joy to work with. This was our second collaboration together & look forward to the next.

I first became familiar with Diane’s wonderful design work in our casual conversations about her Berkeley home redesign/remodel. Then I saw her home, and wow! What I loved about it was how she blended the beauty of an older classic structure with the clean lines of contemporary and practical design ideas. Still, I wasn’t sure if she would be able to take our blend of antiques and a more traditional aesthetic and help us bring it up to date without scrapping every thing. Even more challengingly, could she incorporate my and my husband’s different, even seemingly opposing visions, and work with our budget too? She could and she did, and we were very happy about how our project evolved. We started with wall color changes throughout our main floor living areas which carried through, up the stairway and into the second floor hallway. As that unfolded, she took us through the next steps of how to upgrade our upholstered furniture pieces. Again, she creatively worked with all our limitations, including my Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, which necessarily limit many of our textile choices and sources. With Diane’s continuing help, now from across the country where her family relocated, she continues to guide us and direct us in creating the living areas we want, down to lighting and even pillow options. I continue to be delighted by how she can take our general input and combine it with an almost intuitive knowledge of our needs as well as respect for our budget limits, and provide us with multiple exciting yet practical options from which to choose. Diane continues to be everything we want in a designer…creative, innovative, knowledgeable, practical, responsive to our input, and meticulous about details. We are so pleased! 6/13

I worked with Diane in a professional capacity. I have listed two houses where she was responsible for the design work. Diane has a great eye. she incorporates simple and often inexpensive touches in the larger work. I have used some of Diane’s ideas myself when staging houses that I put on the market. I highly recommend Diane Burcz as a designer.
