I am an Interior Designer / Builder, who specializes in helping clients redesign spaces. The bulk of my work is really kitchen and bathroom remodels. For those who want to "ageless design", I can help you plan and design solutions that will work for you for the next 10-20 years, or simply get ready to sell and move on. As you are planning a remodel, think about your plans for the future. As a CAPS* professional through the National Homebuilder's Association, I am passionate about helping people reach their goals of creating a lovely, safe, and comfortable space, suited to specific situations for all the stages of life. I have helped others downsize, create ADU spaces, and orchestrate all project planning. *The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) Program was developed by AARP and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) to assist consumers in making their homes work better for them—regardless of their age, size, or functional ability. Project was well planned and all parts of the plan came together as promised. Entire family is delighted with the final product. I highly recommend Zapata Design.

Dianna did a fantastic job shepherding out bathroom remodel (actually two bathrooms) from concept to finished. Both bathrooms ended up looking beautiful. Her attention to detail assured that the design was just how we wanted it, and her communication was superb. When unexpected problems came up, she was able to manage it without stressing us out. A++, would hire her again in a split second.

We have and old 1940 house and it needs attention here and there enter Zapata Design! She helps in all the transitions of a project and has wonderful tradesmen who are a pleasure to work with. She shares her knowledge and expertise which makes for a far less stressful time in the projects large or small in a house. She knows how to communicate and follow through with all who become involved and her designs are qualitative and elegant! I would highly recommend Zapata Design!!

Diana Zapata was the contractor on our master bath remodel. She was clear and concise with her communication and always available to respond to questions. I had a pretty clear idea of my vision but Diana also had many ideas on different ways of looking at my bathroom. She had great communication with the subs and on top of sticking to a agreed upon timeframe. We are very happy with our new master bath and would highly recommend Diana Zapata design!

Thanks for working and collaborating so well with my team, it was my pleasure to make it all come together...despite delays!

Diana helped me with a "refresh" of the kitchen and one bathroom in my 104 yr old mother's condo while my mother continued to live in the condo. We replaced the kitchen counters, sink, garbage disposal, backsplashes and lighting fixture. In the bathroom we replaced the counter top, backsplash, sink & faucet and changed out the mirror. Diana, worked around our schedule, brought tile & counter top samples to us, brought suggestions for fixtures, solved our lighting issues, matched paint colors and got everything scheduled so the project took only 2-1/2 weeks from the start of demo to completion. Her trades people were skilled, efficient, showed up on time, cleaned up well each time. Everyone that worked on this project was a pleasure to work with and I really appreciated Diana's knowledge about safety and needs of an older adult associated with vision, hearing, strength & stability. My mother is really happy with her "refreshed" kitchen and bath.

We worked with DIana Zapata to transform a dated '50's upstairs bathroom. She was absolutely invaluable in helping us make timeless, high quality choices in tile, countertop and fixtures. Diana capably brings design and aesthetic gifts, knowledge of resources and materials, and absolutely impeccable project management and quality control. I felt she listened to me and helped channel the optimistic vibe I wanted to create into choices that would stand up to time and wear. I always knew what was going on with the project and the subcontractors she works with are the most wonderful people, clean, considerate and amazingly good at what they do. Our upstairs was added in the '50's and the electrical was funky. She made sure that it got straightened out, and the electrician she brought in was the consummate troubleshooter. I would work with Diana again in a heartbeat. She is someone I trust and will call back again and again. Beyond all of the project specific benefits of working with Diana, I felt confident that she understood and supported my value for sustainability and working with a diverse, gifted crew of people.
