Mark is a very nice guy with a lot of knowledge. However I would not recommend this company to anyone. Went in to the slidell location for the supposedly free consultation (not free) went over a few drawing with him he had nothing we was interested. We showed him a drawing we had. well that's what they he calls custom $$$ So the price goes from 60 cents to 1.30 okay still not a problem he tells my wife hell need 1/3 down witch is 1200 bucks and has her sign some paper work to get started. After the 2day weekend I call to see how long it will take o it will be 30 days. Dame no one said it will take this long so i started calling around and called the original company the drawing came from and was told 1800 for everything and can have it in a week. That's 1600 saving so I call make back only for the secretary to tell me now he can have it in two weeks. No maam he has he started she says no well all take my refund. She comes back with o by the way the fine print on the bottom of paper you signed says we keep 250 for your free consultation. So she puts Mark on the phone and he says the exact same thing. So I tell him so the free consultation is not free and he say no my time cost money and we discussed changes to your plans. So if you plan on doing business in St tammy parish save your self the hassle stay far away from Designtech! House plans are much cheaper at other locations and I can almost guarantee you if they have not started working on your drawing and you'll cancel you'll get a full refund

Our builder sent us to DesignTech to design our custom home. Upon completion of our plans, my husband and I thought we were going to build the perfect home. However, that belief quickly changed once the framing of the house began. Numerous design mistakes surfaced during the framing stage, i.e. off-centered windows; a poorly designed cathedral ceiling; and a ridiculous roof line on one side of the home. My husband and I had to pay thousands of dollars to fix these problems. Although Ross acknowledged these mistakes when confronted, he refused to take financial responsibility. Instead, to add insult to injury, he offered to design our next set of house plans for free. Ross made that offer knowing we would never return to him for any work. Plus, my husband and I will never build again following this experience. I would definitely not recommend anyone to DesignTech-they made building our home a nightmare!

Ross and his team have been so great to work with. They took my ideas for our new house and brought them together perfectly! Can't want to begin building!

DeignTech has worked with me on a few homes and they are amazing with their quality and design. Our last home was exactly what we wanted with the latest open floor plan and elevation style. What I like the most about using DesignTech is how they are willing to review and keep updating the plans until we're 100% satisfied with the design. I've sent many of my friends to them and all have had the same experience. I'd like to thanks Ross and the gang at DesignTech for working with us.

The design process went amazing. Our custom plans were nearly perfect after one meeting with Design Tech. Kristen was wonderful with making slight adjustments and providing information to builders, lenders, etc. throughout the build. There was a slight delay in a few areas, but this was a non issue looking back. I'd highly recommend and would use their services again.

Totally renovating a home we purchased. Worked with Mark Henry for plans and Kristen for interior design. They did a great job. People keep stopping in front my home saying how amazing it now looks. They have not even seen the inside. I am very pleased.

Ross and his team are top notch! Would highly recommend, and minor changes on the back end were no big deal!! Easy to fix.

Design Tech was willing to take over from a previous architect and complete a project for me. I have been involved in a very long process with a federal program that is elevating my house (and renovating as needed ) due to multiple flood losses, culminating with the flooding following the failure of the federal levees after Hurricane Katrina. I worked with an architect who came up with a design I liked, however, after years of delay due to complications with this federal program, the original architect was not willing to follow through. Design Tech was willing to pick up where the previous architect left off, and they worked with me to bring this design to completion, ready for construction. They were friendly, professional, thorough.

Mark and the entire staff at DesignTech Residential Planners were truly a pleasure to work with. They are friendly, knowledgeable, hard working, and talented designers. We have used them for both of our new construction homes and many family members have used them repeatedly for over 20 years now. Mark, or any of the designers, will take your ideas, put them on paper, and make adjustments with you as needed. They love what they do and enjoy transforming your vision into a reality. We would not hesitate to use them again and cannot recommend them enough.

I am in the design phase of planning for a retirement home on Lake Pontchartrain in Slidell, Louisiana. I selected DesignTech in Slidell based upon cost and work done for other homeowners in the area. Mark Henry is very congenial and never questioned changes due to construction cost restraints.
