After living in our Arlington Heights house for 20 years, my husband and I "right-sized" and had a new home built in Village of Lakewood. Initially we moved the old furniture into the new house, wanting to get a feel for what we would need and want in our new space. When we were ready to design and purchase new furniture for our home, Debbie was the perfect designer to work with. First we tackled the flex-room, picured in the rustic fusion photos. Debbie came out to the house and spent time talking with me about what we wanted. She nailed it! We love the look, comfort and style of our flex-room. Then we tackled the family room. Again, Debbie took time to understand what we wanted and she surpassed our expectations! Just love spending time in this beautiful room. Pictures of this room are included in the refined classics photos. Debbie was extremely helpful, professional and talented - a joy to work with. I would highly recommend her and look forward to working with her again on the next room.

August 2018 my husband and I met Debbie Krukowski at Ethan Allen in Schaumburg. We were in need of a change in our family room/kitchen furniture. We both knew when we met her she would be the one working with us to update our home. We weren't sure at first of the style we were looking for, but once Debbie worked with us and visited our home we were sold. The transformation is exactly what we were looking for. Sofas, end tables, coffee table, new area rugs, décor and dining table are just what we wanted. The look is absolutely beautiful, updated, and very functional. Thank you Debbie, you are a treasure to your profession. We connected on every decision. We would highly recommend Debbie and hope to work with her again.

I purchased a lake home in Arkansas but was living in Illinois. I needed all new living room and dining room furniture. It was a daunting task for me to purchase furniture for a home I was not yet living in, and so far away. I needed to have it ready for a large family gathering at Thanksgiving which gave me only four months. I gave Debbie the room measurements and some pictures and she went to work. She first spent time with me in person and over email to determine my style, mood and colors. I didn't exactly know what I wanted but knew I wanted a change from the decor had for the last 30 years. I told her our house overlooks a beautiful lake with lots of wildlife. It is quiet and serene there and that is the the same feeling we want in our house. She nailed it because she listened to every word I said. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

My husband and I renovated an old Victorian cottage in Lake Delavan, Wisconsin. After our renovation we couldn't agree on how to furnish or decorate the relatively small space. My husband loves antiques and wanted to incorporate some antique pieces he had. The pieces were so ugly that I could not envision placing those dated pieces in my beautifully renovated lake home. That’s when we decided to hire Debbie Krukowski. I explained to Debbie that I was looking for a design which used furniture pieces that had a simple timeless elegance to them. I also wanted fabrics that would complement the lake environment that we had. Debbie came to our home and instantly had ideas for incorporating my husband’s antiques and the updated sophisticated look I was after. We then set up a second appointment with Debbie at the show room to go over what she had come up with for our home. Debbie had nailed it on the first try. The fabrics, window treatments, accessories and furniture pieces were all stunning and worked perfectly together. Debbie is talented, efficient, professional and extremely fun to work with. Her team of upholstery professionals were awesome and the workmanship on our antique pieces was superb. The antiques that I could not imagine incorporating into my home (and argued with my husband about) are now my favorite pieces!! Many thanks to Debbie and her listening and interior decorating skills. We both look forward to working with Debbie again in another future project.
