About Us

David Hotson Architect is a full-service architectural design firm specializing in crisply delineated, impeccably detailed contemporary residential architecture. The office has extensive experience working on new houses, additions and renovations, co-op and condominium apartment and loft renovations, adaptive reuse and infill projects, renovations of historic townhouse buildings, and projects in the art world --including museums, galleries, and studios and residences for artists and collectors. David Hotson attended the Yale University School of Architecture, where he was awarded the Skidmore Owings and Merrill Foundation Traveling Fellowship, awarded to three graduate students annually by nationwide competition. After receiving a Master of Architecture degree from Yale, David moved to New York City and established his private practice in 1991.
