Heartwood Custom Designs

Heartwood Custom Designs is a company that designs, builds and refinishes cabinets, teamwork, furniture, gifts, decor, and vintage tools. We do general woodworking, custom builds, and installation. I started purchasing tools and arranging to create a shop back in 2013. I was working a very stressful job in Public Service and wanted a physical and emotional outlet after long hours that turned into longer days and even longer weeks. I have always enjoyed "Making" and "Fixing" so I drew on my previous business experience as a Handyman to start something that would satisfy my need for a creative outlet. I thought, "Oh, I'll sell a coat rack or two and take my wife out to dinner somewhere special...." It became so much more so fast. I started actually selling my products January of 2016 and it is quite possible my hair is still smoldering from the work pace. I absolutely love what I do now and I even love the fight to keep doing it.
