Coastal Trim and Design LLC

Coastal Trim and Design LLC completed carpentry work on my kitchen island in preparation for it to be painted. They refaced the island and it looks like a beautiful piece of furniture, so much nicer than I ever expected. Dave was very responsive and he and his crew were on-time and ready to work when they arrived and always left the area spotless when they left. The project went as planned without a hitch and I can honestly say they were awesome!

I had trouble finding the right guy for the job, a couple people came by to price what I wanted but I could tell they didn’t really get what I was after and I didn’t have much confidence so I kept looking. Not the case with David, super easy to work with and a true craftsman. The trim and ceiling work turned out better than we could have expected, it’s just awesome. Very highly recommended.

Coastal Trim did a beautiful and thoroughly professional job on a wide-ranging project, everything from HVAC installation to deck-building to fine interior trim work and door-hanging. The team was also great to work with, open to collaboration while giving practical advice when our ideas outran the art of the possible or our budget. They were prompt, always kept to schedule — including our move-in schedule — very cheery and, perhaps best of all, policed up their tools, materials and swept the work area clean. We intend to work with them again.

The Coastal Trim and Design staff, under the direct supervision of David Krotz, completed a second level addition to my house in Gaithersburg that was excellent, completed carefully, with minimum disruption and a timely manner. David’s hallmark is his respect for his customers and more importantly the dignity with which he treats his labor force which is in turn motivated and dedicated to performing the work efficiently and competently.

We can't say enough nice things about David and his team at Coastal Trim and Design. David installed a home office for us recently. From the time we called to get an estimate to the time the home office was completed everything went very smoothly. David was polite and professional. He was helpful with suggestions when we asked for advice on what might work best in the space that we have. During the construction phase, David and his team were very reliable and trustworthy. They arrived when they said they would and always left the room being remodeled and the path in and out of the house clean and tidy after every work day. The installation of cabinetry, trim, lighting, office cabling, doors, a wall mounted TV, and painting were all top quality, and the project was completed in a timely manner. David and his team also made sure to be at the house to oversee the installation of the quartz desktop. We are extremely pleased with the work done by David and his team and have no regrets that we chose him to do the work. David is already lined up for a second project at our house!

The crew plus Dave were so friendly! They did a fantastic job to make our unfinished basement into a cozy area to lounge! Our young kids can’t get enough of they’re new play area too! Thanks to Alex, Alex, Raoul, and Dave for all of your hard work!

David was recommended to us for a complete remodeling of our master bath by our designer and supplier. We spoke to several contractors, and David's proposal reflected an understanding of our needs and his pricing was competitive. Throughout the project, David met deadlines, left our house in livable condition, and consistently delivered quality work. In the small number of instances where we saw items that needed attention, he was understanding and responsive. We will be undertaking a larger project soon and will definitely work with David to see if he and his team can help us with that project as well.

David and his crew did an outstanding job on my remodel. Not every job goes as planned, but David found a way to make it all come together. They always showed up when they said, and did a very professional job.

David and his team remodeled our fireplace by removing the old mantle and dated stone to replace with marble. David made an extra effort to secure the stone I had envisioned, and the team was very meticulous in doing an excellent job. I look forward to working with Coastal Trim and Design for our next upgrade to the house!
